If this is true (pretty f***ing big if mind), you have to wonder why we would be interested to bring him in for one season only, considering he's an unproven youngster himself?

Well Pardew said earlier, that we would make 2 more signings a, so he seems like our striker.

wouldn't be the first time a young Egyptian player has been loaned to a Premier League team rather than just bought

Aye, remember Zaki doing something like that, but then he was at an age where he was ready for first team football. Can't really see that being the case with a under 20's Egypt player..?

Same with Elmohamady at Sunderland, not quite sure why the parent clubs are willing to comply with it mind. From our pov though its just a chance to see if he's up to it and if he adapts to a vastly different culture

Jesus. Hope not. I reckon he's a replacement for either Ranger or Loven, should we manage to shift either. It no makey sense that we've apparently upped our bid for Maiga whilst trying to get this chap on loan for nothi......Actually, this makes perfect sense. Fuck off Ashley.

No problem if he's another for the 'development squad', more than happy to see us sign these kind of players.

Careful now. You're not supposed to put things in context in this thread. Have a word.

Fully understand why people would be satisfied with the signing, and i can't say i disagree with the principles of signing promising youngsters... but furghh. I couldn't give half a shit about the 'development squad' right now. Especially when you see the likes of Vuckic, who was comfortably one of our best players in pre-season, get kept behind to accommodate Shola and Lovenkrands.

Givashit.

(if all is true obvs)

After Graham Carr's failure in France, Pardew sends Indiana Jones to Egypt to dig up a striker.
