"One well placed source" - article written by old Luke Edwards.

That and a small part of Alan Shearer (his pinky?) after admitting the line before that Ashely doesn't tell anyone anything and he doesn't know what his intentions are.

I'm still intrigued.

Tough one.. wait til the end of the season to appoint a manager but be rid of ashley, but also risk relegation under carver and gamble the new owner isn't a Vincent tan.

Or the considerably more likely result. Wait til the end of the season, get relegated as Carver is a useless fat oaf and still have Mike Ashley here next year to hire some nobody as manager

If we get rid of Ashley in say, March (Just giving 60 some odd days to get this deal done) the new Owner could already decide on a new manager as early as when the money is hard and there is no turning back. Getting rid of Ashley would have a buoy effect like hasn't been seen before in quite some time.

Has anyone seen the Rangers initiative?

Creating their own supporters shirts as to not give Sports Direct any money. 1500 already sold in just away colours.

Say what you like about them but at least they can group together against Ashley better than we can

Just been on ssn. Good for them.

£2.50 of each shirt goes into the club? How does that compare with other clubs/us

I am sure when Ashley does go, it will be when no-one is expecting it.

Peacefully in his sleep.

Not screaming and crying like his customers.

This is the Mike Ashley thread, not the Ched Evans one.

Good on them. Was speaking to an old friend the other day, about as big a bluenose as you'll find. He said he won't set foot in Ibrox until Ashley is gone. Rangers ha e always been my most disliked club probably, for various reasons but their fanbase has really impressed me since all the shit started. I have a new found respect for some of them.

I'd quite happily pay more for a season ticket if it meant we had more ambition, i'm sure 7-10yrs ago my season ticket was over £510/£520 then. it's become far too much of a day out and much less about the whole feeling of a club

20 years ago, we were paying almost 600 pounds for an E Stand ST....in addition, many of us coughed up 500 for the 'Bond', supposedly to enable you to retain your place for 10 years...Platinum Club STs were - wait for it - 3000 quid...

Ashley has piled high and sold cheap with all his ventures...he knows discerning people won't accept second-best tat, but there are plenty who will buy something just because they see it as 'cheap' - and that applies to NUFC STs now.

As you say, there are many fans who would pay more if they felt the club had ambition and would re-invest money made into the playing staff but that won't happen under this regime.

Chicken and Egg....
