Really don't fully understand why he's here. If it's just for the advertising it still doesn't make sense. He turns up regularly. Just don't get it.

That's the enigma for me too. Why turn up to watch the match? He must care on a level because that's the only thing that would make even a bit of sense.

The biggest mystery is that he turns up and see's us play absolutely terrible football and he's still happy enough.

I'm just thinking, I wonder if relegation is what Ashley really wants ? It would give him the perfect excuse to sell Sissoko, Krul, Cisse ect, he could slash the wage bill by half overnight, last time we went down he apparently had to put £30 million into to the club to keep it going, we now have £38 million sitting in the bank so he wont need to invest anything.

With all the highly paid players gone he can build his team around captain Coldback and build a squad cheaply to take us back up into the premier league ready for him to sell in 2016 which was the plan anyway. I'm sure his creative accountants could lose millions with the added cost of relegation that could be funnelled to MASH directly just before said sale. Just a thought.

You do realise it would cost about £100m in tv money right?

And on top we may not be so fortunate in what we have left to take us straight back up. More than a year down there will fuck him in the wallet alright even harder.

Free buffet innit. Bet the rest are gutted when he turns up though, can't imagine any of them having the backbone to ask if there's any chance he'll share it with them.

As far as I could see it was just a cheap trick to try to get public opinion on his side.

Collymore talks loudly & says very little.

He should stick to talking about things he`s an authority on: like chinning small women & knocking one off over the bonnet of a ford focus whilst some gimp smashes his mrs.

probably the worst "pundit" on the airwaves ever.

Angry Toon fans have demanded a face-to-face meeting with Newcastle United chief Mike Ashley.

In an open letter, NUFC Fans Forum have requested that a meeting between supporters and the club should be brought forward and attended by Ashley.

The letter comes after the fans forum received an email from Lee Charnley who accepted mistakes had been made and told the Toon Army that a briefing would be arranged.

In the latest letter, fans said: “It is the overall view of the Fans Forum that we wish to take you up on your offer to meet.

“However, we do not want this meeting to be our remaining meeting simply brought forward.

“We feel that there is more than plenty to discuss at our final meeting of the season.

“We agree, as a group, that the club have been open and transparent during our meetings. However, we feel quite strongly that we would like Mike Ashley, the owner of NUFC to be present at this ‘interim’ meeting.

“We feel that it isn’t too much to ask. We also feel that it may help NUFC in the long run.

“It is something that we are sure that you recognise that many of our fans want.

“Whilst it is quite obvious that yourself and Mike have been consistently against this, we must ask you to please reconsider this policy for the good of NUFC.”

The letter questioned the lack of leadership and discipline in the team.

It read: “We must ask the club to act now and put its house ‘in order’ as a matter of urgency.

“We have three remaining games. Three games give us three opportunities to protect our Premier League status.

“We must have someone at the head of our team that will ensure that the eleven players in black and white shirts are indeed fighting for our survival.

“The owners of NUFC must take responsibility in a gamble that has obviously not paid off.

“Whilst John Carver is clearly NUFC through and through, the lack of key management qualities needed for the Premier League have put our club in this horrendous position.

“Whilst the club have indicated that there will be no managerial change, we would urge you to provide the current coaching team with expert guidance towards man-management, whether that be from an existent member or from an external source on an interim basis.

“Our fantastic away support was demonstrated yet again at Leicester - yet another sell-out. Some of those fans displayed a banner which read: ‘We don’t demand a team that wins, we demand a club that tries!’

“While our fan base may have many differing views, we are quite convinced that we all share the sentiment of that banner.

“Fans of NUFC are no longer prepared to accept this nonsense. Enough is enough. We want Actions NOT Words.”

Just wondering say we stay up and hired your ideal manager whether it Garde, De Boer or even more realistically a likeable manager with ambition, good knowledge and positivity, they got their own staff in and made a few good signings built a decent looking squad. Would that be enough for you to go out enjoy supporting the club again, give the club your backing and go to the matches? Or has Ashleys gone way past the point of return to be bothered about the club while hes here?
