Tough for Pardew.

Why change a team that's unbeaten.

Why unsettle the best defence in the league.

Why change a strike force that is getting goals.

Because our bench is starting to look stronger than the f***ing team

4th in the league!

Hard to argue with that stat. :-)

Good teams and managers build on that and anticipate problems, making the right changes etc. before we lose this momentum.

If it was easy as picking a side and them staying unbeaten for the season, then Pardew might as well go on holiday now

I do wish it was Saturday already like.

Can't remember the last time I was this happy/excited supporting us.

I know how you feel, the wait for the Spurs game felt like an eternity. Couldn't wait to watch it and despite us not winning I really enjoyed the game, it was so satisfying seeing us compete with and arguably outperform them. Reminded me why I love Newcastle United so much despite having zero affiliation to the place...

Our best team in a decade.

Flying high.

Team spirit as high as ever.

They're shocking: Cant defend, pass or shoot.

0-1.

Best team in a decade? 2002, 2003?

Are you really being pedantic about me rounding 2002 to 2011 up to a decade?

Best team in close to a decade ;)

it's circumstances though, he should understand that Ben Arfa needs minutes for fitness and he'll have to perform better than 'ok' to keep him out

HBA can get minutes off the bench. HBA needs to understand that others have played well, the team is working and that unless there's a dip i form or he comes off the bench and plays better he'll continue to get minutes off the bench. Arfa's been okay when off the bench and has done nothing to displace Best except for reputation. We've moved a long way from those days mate.

minutes from the bench only takes you so far, Pardew's already said on a number of occasions that he wants the team to play with Ben Arfa off a front man. people need to understand that performances count as much as results when you're in charge of improving a team, and weak links should be upgraded. I'm not talking about never playing Best again, i'm talking about giving Ben Arfa a start against Wigan. Ben Arfa wont be the weak link and the squad will be stronger for having match fit options from the bench.

I'd be happy enough with that. Have a feeling though it will be unchanged again though to start with.

Frustrating, as we've done well but there is certainly still  lots of room for improvement. Many of us are clearly very keen to see more of Ben Arfa Marveaux and Santon.

Hope Ben arfa doesn't get too frustrated waiting.
