The excitement is building ahead of Sunday's FA Cup with Budweiser Third Round draw as the 44 teams from the Premier League and Championship enter the fray.

Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola and ex-Everton and Sheffield United midfielder Li Tie will make the draw at Wembley Stadium shortly after the final whistle in the Sunday afternoon Second Round meeting between AFC Totton and Bristol Rovers, which is live on ITV1.

That fixture is one of 20 games this weekend as teams eye a place in the hat for the next round where they could face one of the country's 'big-boys' in a Third Round match over the weekend of 7 and 8 January 2012.

Clubs and fans will be waiting with anticipation for their team's number to be pulled out by the former the Italy and China internationals making the draw.

Holders and current Premier League leaders Manchester City will by number 24, while their rivals from Old Trafford, eleven-time winners United, are number 25. Zola's old side Chelsea, who won the last Cup Final at the old Wembley and the first at the new, will be number 12. Li Tie will be keeping a keen eye on balls 17 (Everton) and 47 (Sheffield United or Torquay).

The draw will be streamed live here on TheFA.com via FATV and will also be on ITV1.

Ties to be played on the weekend of 7 and 8 January 2012

We are ball number 28.

Pardew will be taking this very seriously I would presume.

Gateshead at home or Sheff Wed away would do me.

If we got Gateshead it should be on TV surely. I would like them, Dunno if it would necessarily be seen as a rivalry or more of a game for fun?

Wouldn't mind a premier league team at home tbh, would fancy our chances against most of them, bar City or Arsenal. Would be nice to get rid of as many PL teams early as possible.

  Mackems at home would be great.

If today has shown us anything it's that we will struggle to go on a cup run this year with the small squad we have. We made changes to the defence in the league cup games and our defending went to shit.
