Flip Posted July 4, 2012 Share Posted July 4, 2012 Brazil won in 02 without playing anyone special. I always the felt they won that tournament almost by default. England had a decent team, Germany had a decent team, Belgium had a decent team, and Turkey had the best team they have ever had. Not saying it wasnt relatively easy, but to say we won it by default is shit. How come Argentina didnt win it? They wouldve played Denmark, or Senegal in the last 16 and then Turkey. I mean you have to take everything into context, Brazil won because they were the most entertaining and best team at the time. Playing 3-4-3 (or 3-5-2 depends on how you look at it) completely changed what teams expected of Brazil. We were excellent throughout and only had real difficulties against Turkey twice because of Rustu completely dominating in goal. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
