I don't disagree with the posts.  I'm arguing with myself here! :idiot2:

Suppose I just find it a bit OTT when we talk about him sometimes.  Easily the most talented/exciting player in the squad but think he's got a bit to do yet before he gets offered the keys to wor lass' chastity belt.

38 starts in nearing 3 full seasons here :anguish: Oh, what could have been...

Seriously, its like a gut kick every single time. The way he was playing at the start to this season was ridiculous too.

We need him badly for the run-in.

You forget that everything is wrong after we lose a game Hans.

After 1000pm yesterday it has been concluded that we should sell Santon and Tiote, Cabaye is not fit to be captain, Taylor is a fucktard, Pardew should be sacked (not really a new one I admit). I've probably missed some bold negative statements of other players/staff as well. Im not surprised some are starting to have a go at our players that didn't even play. Some people just need something to bitch and moan about.

He was coming back from a farkin broken leg you numpty

He was but there was also a spell where Pardew kept going about him learning to play in the team.

Pardew meaning, working his bollocks off defensively, fair enough imo.

I thought people would have stopped this after Pardew had proved without any doubt this season that he has no clue whatsoever about the medical side of the game.

He's told a player is fit and it's up to him whether or not he wants to play them; he chose not to play Hatem because "his stats weren't right" (his words) and he believed that Ryan Taylor and Gabby Obertan would be more effective for us at the time. I personally think he was wrong.

http://www.shieldsgazette.com/news/crime/newcastle-ace-banned-for-overtaking-cops-at-110mph-1-5561274

NEWCASTLE United footballer Hatem Ben Arfa was disqualified from driving today after pleading guilty to driving offences.

The Frenchman was slapped with the 49-day driving ban and a £5,100 fine for racing at speeds of 110.2mph in a 70mph zone without insurance on his Mercedes.

Newcastle Magistrates Court heard that the 26-year-old sped past a police car on the A696 Wolsington Bypass dual carriageway in Newcastle on September 6 last year.

After being pulled over he was found to have no insurance.

He pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and one count of speeding via an interpreter.

Chris Anderson, the prosecuting solicitor, said: “Just after 3.30 in the afternoon on September 6, a vehicle driven by Mr Ben Arfa overtook a police car.

“The officer followed the vehicle and checked Mr Ben Arfa’s speed as 110.2mph over the distance of just over nine-tenths of a mile.

“It turned out that Ben Arfa was not insured to drive this vehicle.”

The court heart that after the offence, the vehicle was impounded and not driven again until the defendant had taken out an insurance policy.

Miss Michelle Brown, defending barrister, said that Mr Ben Arfa, of Darras Road, Ponteland, could only apologise for the speeding offences.

She said he believed his insurance was covered by a green card, which covers drivers in a foreign country for six months.

“He was operating under the misinterpretation that his green card insurance covered him for use of his motor vehicle on this particular instance.

“This is a young man who has got it wrong on this occasion, but has done everything he can to put right that error, that misunderstanding.”

Sentencing him to the ban and fine, magistrate Yvonne Steane, said: “We feel that the speeding is so serious that you will be disqualified from driving for 49 days.”

On the steps of the court, Mr Ben Arfa had this to say in reply to waiting journalists:

HBA: I do not believe in the speeding doctrine.  I drive the way my parents brought me up.  I love all speeds, in fact some of the slow speeds have been my best friends here in England.

His lawyer, Miss Brown, had this to say: Can you please stop asking horrid questions.

Think there is something in the Liverpool link, even if it is only Liverpool trying to unsettle the player or agent manoeuvering ahead of contract negotiations. Read it far too many times for my liking.

The press made it up one day and have never let it go, the fans have clung onto it.
