Parky the only way I see Ben Arfa fitting into the formation you set up would be where you have Ba, and you can't drop Demba Ba for him, playing him deeper would just leave us more vulnerable in midfield and the 3 you have in there would be dragged all over the place.

I'd drop Guti. I can only think he's in the side for his workrate, he hasn't done much else.

The problem there though mate is you are going to Have Ben Arfa playing deeper, and he is going to be spending a lot of time chasing back and trying to win the ball, which would be a total waste of his talents.  He needs to play in the hole, but (we couldn't push him right up as we would be playing with 3 up top and we would be overrun).  For the formation you set up to work, Ben Arf would have to play where you have Ba, and again we couldn't drop him.

I'd like to see Hatem given the Silva role, where he picks up the ball wherever there is space. With Silva it's often wide right and then he comes inside shielding the ball as he's left footed like Hatem. Runners start to amass on the opp side or Aguero comes off the CD's. Modric is the same he often picks up the ball off center as does VDV. The formation isn't as rigid as it looks. How we play now looks like this.

It's much simpler than that. It's a classic 433 with 2 DM's (each DM's covers one side of the pitch - protecting full back if you like). Tiote does that already most of the time anyway. Cabaye becomes a ball playing DM with only say Guthrie with license to get forward (edge of box).

I think Pardew does not like a player criticizes his choice.

Ben Arfa has a habit of speaking his mind and when he does not like the methods of a defensive coach he says.

then he told Pardew, besides the two confirmed. I think that a player Pardew refused to tell him that his game is too defensive.

being told that Ben Arfa not cause serious, players say he hand the last as it continues to lead, to be told not not defend it, j 'have a feeling they are being asked to do it in games to the point of playing more offensively.

it's really stupid to have lost so many points that you would have to play the Champions League.

One thing is certain, Ben Arfa will not stay at Newcastle if he does not play more and if Pardew is still the coach.

Dont think HBA would fit in neither Sliva or Modric Positions, As good as Ben is, he still lack awareness and still often makes wrong decisions. i think Sliva and Modric types are famous for not loosing the ball and creative types. Ben has more penetration on his feet. Not saying he cant improve and get to their level though, the raw talent suggests there is potential there.

Fore more depressing analyzes about Ben Arfa future at Newcastle, please read Lee Ryder Webchat right now

I did for 5 minutes but it hurt my brain.  He's too slow for the Premier league apparently and Ryder is yet again blowing smoke up the arse of R.Taylor...

Lee in your opinion do you think the club would welcome bids for Ben Arfa in the summer given that he doesn't seem to fit into Pardews current systems?

Lee Ryder:

I would be quite surprised if HBA is still here next season if he continues to be left out of the side.

In truth, it hasn't worked out for him this season and I think he knows that himself.

Im sorry Lee but pardew is really frustrating me and the majority of NUFC fans with how he isn't playing Ben Arfa our most talented player on the bench look how Tottenham used there wingers on Saturday they kept coming into center midfield and the full backs would attack the wing look how Chelsea use mata, look how Man City use Silva, Man Utd use Nani.

Lee Ryder:

I don't think you can speak for the majority of NUFC fans.

Ben Arfa is an undoubted talent but football is a team game and unless he's ticking all of the boxes he won't get picked.

Even the greats like Ronaldo and Messi know they have to play to the manager's plans.

Comment From Sam

Why are people whining on about HBA, saying he is our best player and so on? Pardew see's him day in day out on the training pitch and he obviously isnt good enough. We are 6th in the Premiership! There is a reason why Pardew is the manager and he's got the Ben Arfa situation spot on for me. We don't need players like him in our team. End of. Thoughts, Lee?

Lee Ryder:

This team is all about hard work, and playing for each other.

HBA's stats conducted by United's backroom team have proven he doesn't work hard enough.

Should a player be left in the team just because he COULD pop up with the odd goal?

He scored the odd goal at Fulham but we conceded five at the other end because too few of the attack minded players were defending from the front.

Comment From Sifu

Hello Lee, so is Ben Arfa seen as a forward rather than a midfielder by the backroom team? The fact is he spent nearly his entire career out wide!

1:58

Lee Ryder:

He considers himself as a striker or second striker.

Too slow for the Premier League?

Hold on, what? Lee Ryder actually said that?

He then praises Ryan 'The Hare' Taylor?

No, just some mongtard on there.

Lee Ryder:

He considers himself as a striker or second striker.

That's his stock answer.  I asked him on twitter next time he gets an interview with HBA, ask him if he is happy to play out wide for us.  The above was Ryder's response.  When I then said, well would he prefer to play out wide or sit on the bench, he didn't reply.

Fucking bollock headed twat is Ryder.  Such a bell end.

I cant bear anymore of this 'doesnt work hard enough' bullshit while Obertan continues to get in the team before him. Its f***ing mind blowing.

My post didn't make it up there.  Pretty much asked if R.Taylor and Obertan were better options on the wing?  Booting the ball 70 yards is a form of giving the ball away.  Obertan passing it straight to the full back is also a form of surrendering possession.

Ryder can fuck off, he knows nothing about football. I cannot even begin to explain my disappointment at this situation. It's not for goals that I want Ben Arfa in the team, it's for the way he'll transform into a passing team with movement. Ba, Cisse, Cabaye, Jonas, Colo and Santon are capable of linking up with him and really frightening defences. Instead, what we're doing is letting teams come onto us far too much and relying on good defensive organisation. We should be able to marry the two, defensive organisation with an attacking mindset.
