Sifu
Just caught up with this, so it sounds like the clash of the infamous French egos has struck again. They can play it down all they like but this will damage France's morale. I now expect them to lose heavily to Spain () About Ben Arfa's role in this whole thing, can't say I blame him too much (still somewhat at fault like). Unfortunately, an ego clash is always going to be inevitable with this generation of French players.
Deuce
They need a(nother) huge revamp on that squad. Everyone agrees that Nasri is a complete douche and tbh, he's replaceable in that squad. A joke that Cabaye didn't start, he's been great in the tournament. Let's see the mini titans Valbuena and Martin against Spain. French are gonna lose regardless. Ikon
Cabaye was rested, had a knock from the game before.

Guest hatem garrincha
Ben Arfa since one year : "I have matured", "I have changed" , "I don't fight anymore"...blah, blah...
Mr Logic
Ben Arfa since one year : "I have matured", "I have changed" , "I don't fight anymore"...blah, blah... And...? He apparently didn't fight, he took the side of the coach. As for Ben Arfa, he moved to the coach - but away from his teammates, to have been released while others, he said, had a lower yield. Boghossian says: "There was no clash between Hatem Ben Arfa and Laurent Blanc. Both were explained. They put the record straight and they shook hands. There is no worry at this level. Yorkie
Has Iniesta performed brilliantly? No he's been f***ing s**** mate. As if they've snuck Nicky Butt onto the pitch instead. No need to get your knickers in a twist mate, no Spanish player has performed brilliantly so far. Iniesta in particular has been outshined by Pirlo and Modric in their respective games He was the best player on the pitch against Italy. Didn't see the Croatia game. He dallied on the ball so much against Croatia that it seemed like he was showing off for the sake of it. Can't deny his exceptional ball control but he was greedy as owt. Made up for it with a clever run and assist for Navas' goal, but i wasn't blown away by his performance.
Tooj
Iniesta's not the type of player that shows off for the sake of it.
ponsaelius
He was brilliant against Italy though. I thought Italy were the better team - or atleast better to watch - but Iniesta was far and away the best player on the pitch.

I thought Italy were the better team - or atleast better to watch - but Iniesta was far and away the best player on the pitch. Disagree, Spain had trouble playing their normal possession football especially in the first half as Pirlo had the better of Iniesta and was dictating play. Quite a few major football websites gave Pirlo the MOM in that match. In any case even if Iniesta played a blinder against Italy (which he didn't), which is 1 in 3, it's hardly enough to say that he has been brilliant in Euros which was the original point

alpal78
Hatem Ben Arfa is decent too. Yup, I'm happy to refocus this thread back to HBA. Just have to say that anyone checking those links can see how Sewelly has been very selective with how he presented 'facts'. Iniesta was joint highest with a few others on sky sports and on some of those links, he was highest only in the fans voting column where presumably Iniesta bumming fans like Sewelly voted in for their footballing god. Soccernet had Pirlo as MOM. Iniesta has yet to lit up the tournament. Cant wait for HBA to school him in their upcoming match. Now back to HBA
ponsaelius
I was selective in that I posted numerous links that agreed with my own opinion that Iniesta played very well in that game and a few that agreed he was the best on the pitch? That is not selective. In fact I merely plucked the first results from a Google search. I don't know why you've put the word facts in inverted commars either. I never mentioned the word 'facts' because we're not discussion facts, what I have posted are merely opinions.
