Buzzing after todays results. Chelsea and the racists both floundering. Couldn't happen to pair of "nicer" clubs. Superb.

Win tomorrow would be huge for our top 5 aspirations.

Finishing above Liverpool would be hugely satisfying and a nice fuck you to Carroll and Enrique.

It would, but I doubt they'd give a shit. Carroll would probably be happy to see us play well and José would point to his beer cup medal.

Us coming 5th or 6th would be obscenely good especially given some of the dross we've served up at times this season. 7 points ahead (with a win 2moro) of L'pool is a 3 game swing, takes a lot of coming back for them given they've already qualified for Europe and are no longer going to get near the CL spots.

HTL!

Yeah, Dave Whelan's had a go at some of his decisions today apparently and will be speaking to him about it (as though he knows better ).

They have terrible, terrible players and their fans barely exist. They don't deserve to be anywhere near the premier league, and it's no fault of Martinez's imo.

They'll have a game in hand though won't they? Not sure what there fixtures are like but we've got some pretty tough games in the run in.

Yeah, Martinez is doing his best with what is a shite squad. He is attempting to get the team to play some good attacking football but the lack of resources at his disposal is really preventing him from properly implementing his plans.

How is Martinez doing well by making them progressively worse, being last in the league and going down? Look how far ahead Norwich and Swansea are.

Norwich and Swansea have better players. Wigan used to have N'Zogbia, and players like Figueroa and Rodallega all playing well. Now all they have is Momo Diamé. Zog went, they didn't bring a suitable replacement in and Figueroa and Rodallega have turned to shit.

Norwich and Swansea's entire teams are made up by lower league players, Wigan's have years of experience at this level. He did worse than Steve Bruce with the same team anyway.

They've lost N'Zogbia of course but I do think a front three of Moses, Rodallega and Crusat is good enough to survive. Yet to see any of his 'attacking style' flower. Although Wigan have never really had a consistent goal getter.

Norwich's team today.

Ruddy (Everton) Premier League (1 PL game)

Martin (Peterborough) League one

Whitbread (Millwall) League one

Ward (Coventry) Championship

Naughton (Tottenham) loan (1 PL game)

Johnson (Leeds) Championship

Surman (Wolves) Premier League (7 PL games)

Pilkington (Huddersfield) League one

E Bennet (Brighton) Championship

Howson (Leeds) Championship

Holt (Shrewsbury) League two

Steer (youth)

R Bennett (Peterborough) Championship

Hoolahan ( Blackpool) Championship

Fox ( Colchester) League one

Morison (Millwall) Championship

Jackson ( Gillingham) League one

Wilbraham (Franchise) League one

If this team can get in the top 10 Wigan's can do a lot better.

Norwich were in League 1 two years ago, I like Martinez but he is doing a terrible job

Think the arguments may have been over-simplified IMO. This is Norwich's first season in the Prem, for example, think that's (oddly) a big advantage for them. Wigan have Caldwell at the back, man. CALDWELL.

they've been long enough in the league to sign someone better than Caldwell, fact is since Martinez took over he's signed a load of guys who can pass a ball reasonably well but can't defend or score many goals his philosophy is something I like but he is useless at spotting players, £6m on Boselli case and point

And Norwich have Zat Whitbread and Elliott Ward. Caldwell wouldn't be out of place in Norwich's squad and he's Wigan's worst player.

I thought Martinez was supposed to know the foreign market and play passing football anyway, what's he playing Caldwell for then?

Come on man, Americans do not name people Zat.

Watched a bit of Lilla/Auxerre, a cameraman followed the Auxerre manager into the tunnel at halftime and he was having a go at Lille's manager (I believe) all the way until they got to the changing room. No clue what it was about, obvs.
