Guest Recoba
I do not think Ayew is that special and I could see OM selling.
Guest
Can just see it on a freezing Wednesday night at Stoke when he's on the opposite flank to the dugout, Pardew trying to shout out his instructions when we're not getting him in the game enough. "Ayew, out there in the cold, getting lonely, getting old....can you hear me? AYEW!"
joeyt
Looked at the line-ups - Valenciennes have no-one of interest although there are several in Marseille's team - Ayew, Gignac, Payet (probably not possible as just transferred), Valbuena (hope not due to the dissing he gave us) and N'Koulou. I would forgive Valbuena for everything he's said in the past if he joined us like
Flip
I'd rather we signed N'Koulou. Looked very good for the 20mins I saw of the game today.

I get what you're saying, but I'm hoping JFK and Co. use a larger sample size when evaluating players.

Mole_Toonfan
I'd rather we signed N'Koulou. Looked very good for the 20mins I saw of the game today. If we are going to spend around 20m because that's what he will cost. I'd rather get a winger and attacking midfielder personally.

We might as well buy 10 defenders and park the bus, cause I haven't seen one attacking team move since Pardew took over basically.

Dave
Stoke and Begovic know of Arsenal’s interest in him, but the Gunners have, so far, been put off by the 26-year-old’s £17million valuation. Arsene Wenger is set to make a shock swoop for £10million-rated Newcastle keeper Tim Krul. It's almost as if they're making these figures up.

Dave
"Work to bring a striker into the club began early in the summer. "Negotiations were complex and protracted and unfortunately it was disappointing that ultimately we could not secure our priority target. "Whilst we did turn our attention to alternative prospects in the latter stages of the window, we have a very clear transfer policy and will not make knee-jerk decisions at the last-minute which are not in the best interests of the club. "We understand that supporters will feel frustrated that we did not sign another striker during the window, but it was not for lack of trying that we did not bring our final target in." Llambias added: “Quite honestly, what we did in January was spend £10m more than we needed to. Did we need to? Yes. “Gouffran and Sissoko were the two players we brought forward.” Gouffran and Sissoko were about £4m in total according to .com. What a summer warchest.
