Papiss Cissé

Laughable. He often starts offside let's be honest. He often clearly isn't looking across the line to even attempt being onside. C'mon.

Then you clearly haven't watched the beginning of his runs. Yes once he moves into an offside position he is slow at getting back but he is usually onside when he starts his original runs.

It's a two way thing, totally. He scored at least 2 offside goals last season too. The common denominator in him being offside, is himself.

The second goal he scored against Metallist, he was fractions offside. Mbiwa crossed the ball fully on the run. It was Cisse's fault. It tends to be his fault.

His problem seems to be he never angles his run, and because he generally starts his run on the shoulder/already beyond the last man he is getting caught offside an awful lot. To say that he is only offside because people aren't passing to him quick enough is nonsense imo.

who said he was only offside becase of anything, you say yourself he plays on the shoulder...football 101 tells you that players who play like that will have more success staying onside if the ball is released early

it's very simples

A lot of strikers try that popping on and offside technique, its tough to get right, ok when it works you end up through on goal but more often than not you will be flagged offside.

Cisse seems to like to try it all the time and then that makes it easier for side to step up on him, he was not relying on that so much last season, he was deeper timing his runs or getting shots off early. He is just searching for form and trying to gain any advantage he can over opposition defenders.
