McCormick
It's insane money, but hes a good player and is safe bet to get them goals. Marty's transfer policy coupled with their stature means that this is as good as they can get; they seem desperate and Wolves can sense that.

Jack Flash
We really need to be more grateful to our scouting/negotiation setup than we already are. £14 million would probably cover half of our team.

The overall lack of footballing knowledge on that forum is staggering. From the same thread: "Wish people would stop comparing this fee to RVP. Totally different scenario." You can f*cking say that again!
gbandit
I actually think he's made an alright point there. Dzeko plays in a team which creates countless chances and he messes up opportunities all the time by being too slow. At least Fletcher has a good attitude and does a lot for the team. Dzeko can be selfish as fuck, slow and very hit-or-miss when it comes to striking the ball. They're both good in the air. I think Fletcher is a better player than he's given credit for (not 14m worth though) while Dzeko is frustrating as sometimes he looks excellent, can show very good technique, but often looks gash

Tisd09
Fletcher is not a bad striker but what has he done to suggest he is a £10million plus player. To think we've purchased Cisse and Ben Arfa for less.

Sima
I think Dzeko probably would come(by the by) and there are almost certainly better options in the vast world of football for a lot less money if the people employed to such a job were willing to look (manager and scouts included here). Skeletor
Some times I think Sunderland should create a cheesy chips version of Wonka's chocolate factory to lure potential new signings in. They can give Mong the Wonka outfit too and have him roll around with his little Cattermole oompa loompas.

Tisd09
I would disagree and pick Dzenko every time at the same price. He started last season very well, only when Aguero was up to speed and Mancini started rotating Dzenko more did his form dip. As I said I don't think Fletcher is that bad but in no way worth more than £7million and that is based on a British Striker premium.

afar
It amazes me really. Wolves were the worst team by a long mile in the PL last season and they were pretty near the worst the previous year. Yet they are about to recieve 14 million for one player and want upwards of 10 million for aother, not sure how much kightly went to Stoke for but if that's what 30 million pounds or so buys you these days, the game's gone crazy. B-more Mag
Dear Sir Alex: I don't know if you remember me, but I manage a small club in the north east. Our teams have played each other from time to time. I'm writing to make you an offer I think you'll find really attractive. I have convinced my club to pay yours £14.000.000 for Darren Fletcher. All you need to do is tell people you think I should be Manchester United's next manager! I think I'm a really great manager and bet you'll think so too! I look forward to doing business with you. Thanks, Marty O'Neill P.S. Did you know I managed at team in Scotland. That's where you're from!
