cp40
Most one sided draw I've ever seen. They're worse than last season. 3 draws so far but comprehensively outplayed in all. Got to admire their remaining paying supporters because I couldn't pay to watch football played like that. 13 without a win now. In MON we trust. Our Bobby Shinton top scoring wasn't very good and I paid to see that. was it 6 or 7?

They're about as entertaining nowadays as we were back in those dark days. Difference is that back then we were crap and couldn't do anything about it but it's their manager's plan and footballing philospophy to make them totally dull and unentertaining. Those 8,000 or so empty seats they had yesterday are starting to look a very pale shade of pink indeed.
Ted Maul
In fairness to the Mackems it doesn't matter what happened last season. If you take this season on its own merits they're doing alright, two draws against Liverpool and Arsenal are canny tbh and Fletcher's hit the ground running for them. I'd certainly take a 0-0 draw at the Emirates. Having said that if they're not happy with the way their team's set up then they're going to be sick as parrots by the end of the season. taxfree
They had similar results against those teams last season. Drew one against both teams and actually won once against Liverpool. Wouldn't look very much in to it.

On the surface their results could be deemed acceptable. Closer examination would reveal that they've been totally dominated in all three games and are fortunate not to be sitting on zero points. It's clear that their lacklustre performances are a result of the way the manager sets his team up and it produces a dreadful to watch end product. I don't however expect him to change his footballing philosophy. They're stuck with it.

brummie
Brummie's O'Neill predictions are f***ing uncanny, man. Just read the opening sentence of this ignored heavily-caveated post: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=730528 The prophecy is coming true. Well in brummie. To be honest, you'd have got the same thing from any Villa fan, it was all just so predictable. They've specifically noticed the whole "trying to play on the counter attack at home" thing, mind. Guest
Can't believe that not a lot is being said about the Fletcher stats. Forget about the goals, only three shots in two games is awful for a striker 13 shots from the whole team all season. Negative as f***. We had 11 tonight alone and we were dogshit for 45 minutes of it.

I agree, many's the time in my prolific career I'd wander around the place, but when it came to the ball and the net they would often meet. Seemed OK at the time tbh. Hope he has a decent career after this monumental mistake.

Varadi
from F365: * Sunderland's three goals this season have come from just five shots on target. * Steven Fletcher has scored with his three shots as a Sunderland player. * Sunderland have spent only 18% of their games in the opposition half this season. Seems Marty's party might be a little on the tedious side...
Tisd09
I can see all the Hillsboro stuff and fans around the country uniting has really hit home with the Mackems. To be fair at least there are some on there calling them out on it. I hate them like but to wish death on any of their players or fans or anyone connected to the club is way way way way over the line.
Wilson
Sorry but all this s**** about fletchers conversion rate is bollocks, people trying to make it come across as a negative he's scored 3 for them already ffs that's all that matters. Sure cisses would have been similar when he joined us yet we would have seen it as fantastic. Petty as fuck tbh.
