Class players dont do that, average players do. all those missed chances and hitting the crossbar, it's not coincidence at all, it simply reflects on the way they play the game - no one in there who can stretch the game and play on the break to open defences up, and similarly no one in the centre of the pitch to put their foot on the ball, slow down the tempo and be patient. The way they play is at 110mph, no subtlety there at all - it's all snatched chances in congested penalty boxes, saurez weaving his way into the box having no space to get a shot away from absurdly tight angles, shite crosses too high for carroll, long rangers from gerrard and henderson, kuyt trying to fart it in off his arse etc. they are not crafting gilt-edged chances, one on ones, situations where someone can choose their corner and side foot it in. poor quality of chances = less of them converted. I hate this possession obsessed world we are currently in, whats the point of passing it sideways and backwards all game? Carpet football is great but actually if a team takes risks in the final third and not passing it backwards and sideways all game long.
