chicago_shearer
What's he supposed to say if he's asked whether he misses European Football? "Nah don't miss it at all".. "Mon dieu, European football is an unprofitable distraction from the prime objective of a 7th to 10th placed finish and I feel sorry for my ignorant team mates in this squad who are wasting their time competing in Europe." Dr.Spaceman
I don't know how anyone can have a go at any of our players for wanting to leave, especially those who are actually decent and want to play in Europe.
Guest chopey
Carr just needs to find unambitious mercenaries who are more than happy with a top 10 bonus and enjoy a ride in a helicopter if another club wants to have them,
Guest
The thing is though, that's exactly how Cabaye, Mbiwa, Debuchy & Sissoko would have viewed us anyway. Stepping stone to showcase their ability then move on.
Wallace
The thing is though, that's exactly how Cabaye, Mbiwa, Debuchy & Sissoko would have viewed us anyway. Stepping stone to showcase their ability then move on. Cabaye and Debuchy were mid 20s and above when they left their first and only club so obviously other clubs had reservations about them otherwise they would already have moved on. Coming to Newcastle and showing they can perform in the Premier League has proved their ability and in doing so will make them more attractive to the bigger clubs. We have been a successful move for both of them and if that had not been the case then they at least had a much improved contract compared to what they were on previously at Lille to have made the move worthwhile. Guest
It's the reason why if we would just pay that bit extra, the likes of Grenier & Cabella would come here.
Dave
France have scored goals for fun so far and Debuchy is loving the positive mindset of Didier Deschamps" side. He added: "The thing I love is our attacking play, it's great to be part of it,

We're (publically pushing the agenda that we're) aming for x,y and z but really we're happy to simply exist in the PL. Fuck your dreams and ambitions. Yeh I do recall Cabaye mentioning something about Pardew wanting to play the game the right way or something of those lines when he joined.
The College Dropout
No doubt we are seen as a stepping stone. However, with real ambition you can build on that the way Spurs have.

Guest TruToon94
Blindingly talented RB. Can't believe he plays for us TBH. Best RB we've had for ages.

Guest neesy111
Beye was very good 07/08 but had an awful 08/09 and never looked the same after the injuries he had.

aussiemag
Beye was class for one season. We signed him maybe 3 years too late, only got one year of his peak.
AlanSkÃrare
Debuchy individually is the best I've seen for us. Aaron Hughes was helped by a great team (and Solano) and subsequently played some even better football.
Guest firetotheworks
Beye is still the best all-round that I've seen, even if it was just for one season. Defensively he was a lot better than Debuchy and he was still pretty good going forward, if not quite as good as Debuchy.
Darth Crooks
Should never have jettisoned Aaron Hughes no frills but one of the most dependable and reliable defenders I've seen. Could have stayed here and become a hero if allowed.
