Football fans are going crazy. We have just had someone saying Bigi had a very good game and then you saying Gosling was abysmal? What game was I watching? I thought Gosling put in a decent shift yesterday, was not great but was our second best midfield player yesterday behind Sammy.

We'd be out if it wasn't for him in the first half. Goal-line heroics notwithstanding, he was one of the only composed players we had yesterday. Gosling is a CM who has often been played as an AM the past few years. And, unsurprisingly, he hasn't looked good when played out of position. If he can continue to put in good shifts at CM, we should keep him around. If for no other reason than we don't have much depth at CM (as opposed to DM). Tooj
What did Gosling actually or offer last night? I really can't think of anything.
Disco
Kept the ball relatively well, got forward and had a couple of chances, general midfield stuff. At best he was average, at worst he was poor but got better; just like everyone else playing in black and white last night.

Barnes23
Bigi is overrated on here imo. A good athlete but technically he has a long way to go.

Jesse Pinkman
He seemed to occupy the Joe Allen role last night, the only role I can see him pulling off in the PL. I don't think he's good enough to pull off the Nolan role ,which Pardew seems to boxed him off as.
Jack Flash
He should be playing the Nolan role but is often too deep. He's not good enough to be a classic CM at this level.
Ste
That's good, upto a point. He needs time on the pitch.

He was Championship Apprentice of the Year at Coventry. If we were of a higher standing I think we would properly be looking at loaning him to a lower premiership team. Anywhere within reason, pretty much any regular first team is only going to aid his development - even if it's just 'til xmas/NY.
Unbelievable
A loan with recall option wouldn't be the worse idea, but I think we do need him for squad depth.
healthyaddiction
With 4-4-2 seemingly being Pardew's choice of formation this year he seems to have Anita, Cabaye, Sissoko, Tiote, Gosling and maybe even Jonas ahead of him for the two central mid spots. He's really unlikely to get a game I think.
M1tche
The goal he scored in the under 21's this week was a screamer, would love to see him go on loan in the champ to see how he does . Does anyone go to the under 21 games or can say they've watched him play recently?
