Mole_Toonfan
Bedding him in. not all of them hit the ground running, i expect him to be a lot like Santon tbh in his learning process.
TRC
Santon was only 20 to be fair. I'd liked to have seen him replace Jonas today.
Ashley17
My worry for this guy is that we prefer Perch to him in the defensive midfield role. And Bigirimana too. Add to that he supposedly doesn't want to play fullback and you start to wonder why we didn't just spend the £8m on Debuchy
Mole_Toonfan
Anita is only 23 and quite frankly less experienced than Santon at the top level and having to learn his role in the minefield that is the modern day midfield. Some people need more time than others they can't all be Cabaye, Cisse etc etc.

I don't mind Perch being preferred there, he plays that role quite well.

Stifler
He doesn't have the psychical ability for the defensive midfield role in the Premiership, at RB he's an option once he's been bedded in but not in midfield.
High Five o
Anita will become good for us, give him some time to settle lads. My guess is that he was bought in as a 3rd midfielder in a 433. I still believe 433 was our intention this year (call me naive), but due to injuries/form Pardew have used 442 as he is more content with it. No one could see Bigi taking to the level as he have done, so it leaves us with Jonas - Bigi - Anita - Perch fighting for the last spot. Jonas is better at CM tbh, but not a specialized CM, Perch is a potato, he can play anywhere. Anita will use this season to learn his trade, Europa league, FA cup matches and a odd league match. He looks good at RB to, so he can also be used there to gain experience. And i disagree with the physical size card being played, there are many other aspects who is more important for a DM, reading of the game, interceptions, pace, timing, aggression. I am in no doubt after seeing him a couple of times now, that he has what it takes to make it here.

High Five o
Its a expression we use over here ffs  You can use a potato for everything man.
Johny1982
If he's putting in extra gym sessions I would think his position here will be cm but has been told he's not ready yet! He needs to be given a chance at some stage tho now tiote is banned.
Guest hydeous
I'm pretty sure this is the guy who'll be playing the next three games. And with an in-form Cabaye with him and the magnificent Colo behind him, I really hope we'll see the best of Anita in the next 3 games. Could be the silver lining of the poor decision that got Tiote suspended. Let's hope for the best.
Dr Venkman
Like what I've seen from him so far, although he does look a bit tentative. While looking like a good right back I do think he'd be a very good addition to Cabaye and Tiote in midfield. Give him some time, he's a tidy player. Gallowgate Toon
Isn't the man to fill Tiote's boots over the next 3 games as he lacks the power to play in a 2 man midfield, Perch is very good there. I think he'll be excellent for us but only in either a 3 man midfield or at RB.
Tooj
When Tiote's suspension is up I would love to see a midfield three of Anita, Tiote and Cabaye given an extended run in the team.

durhamunigeordie
It's probably (and rightly) going to be Perch, but wouldn't mind seeing Anita given a go from the start in at least one of the home games that Tiote misses.
Mole_Toonfan
He doesn't have the psychical ability for the defensive midfield role in the Premiership. And i suppose Lucas, Carrick, Arteta, Barry etc etc do? the physicality thing is well overplayed. Besides i think your find most would see him in the role he had against Bordeaux which isn't really "defensive midfield" that's more Jonas role when we played 4-3-3 last season. aussiemag
I think our best side on paper would be: Krul Simpson Saylor Coloccini Santon Tiote Anita HBA Cabaye Ba Cisse Anita playing more as a tucked in left midfielder, with Santon attacking the wide areas and Ba dropping in to help defensively. We just need to play with more fluidity, when attacking, let Ben Arfa roam inside, Cabaye push forward, Ba go central, Cisse pull out wide etc.

I dont think he has done enough yet, on paper or not, to warrant that role. Perch on current form and standing, would take that place for me (for now). None of those are 5ft 5" and about 9 stone wet through though. Barry and Lucas are strong players as well, so fail to see your angle? I personally like the look of Anita, but he does seem miles off the pace. No coincidence he's looked good in Europe both times he's played, also we've started with a 4-3-3 of sorts in those games. Seems much more rushed and panicky in the Prem.
Guest hydeous
Not perch. He's a good holding midfielder, I expect more from that position. Jonas has done well there, I'd like to see Anita there though. I think he's a good player who's going to get really good with some playing time in this league.
