Latest on Luuk - #NUFC have had a bid of £11m (€14m) rejected by FC Twente for Luuk de Jong. @tctubvoetbal says #NUFC no longer interested.

It looks like #NUFC have missed out on Luuk de Jong according to Dutch media. They have had take-it-or-leave-it offer rejected.

Nothing in Dutch media.

Think NUFCFANS.co.uk have been at it again!!

#NUFC will not pay more than €14million for Luuk de Jong and player is thought to be 'uncertain' about his future. (via / @tctubvoetbal)

Newcastle will struggle to De Jong

Monday, July 2, 2012 - 16:14

LONDON - Newcastle United, the struggle for Luuk de Jong provisionally. The club has 11 million pounds (nearly 14 million euros) for the striker from FC Twente, but that offer is rejected by the Tukkers.

Moreover, De Jong is not clear according to the English, he told Newcastle that he wants to go against that and other interested club, Borussia Mnchengladbach, the German team that he wants to come. Reason for the British to look elsewhere for a striker.

Bit disappointed but not really fussed. This however highlights the fact that the higher-ups at the club believe we do need another striker if Ba/Cisse get injured or when they leave in January for the Africa Cup of Nations.

So he wants to go to Germany in any case?
