Away goals don't count, ffsss.

They do after extra time

Then what help are they going to be to Swansea when Chelsea now have to score 2 goals in Swansea to level the tie.

Correct actually, but if say Chelsea are winning 3-1/4-2 then it gives Swansea extra time to get a winner. Unfair rule imo.

Great performance by Swansea, Chelsea had the vast majority of possession but it's not like Swansea's keeper was jumping all over the place like Bradford's was last night. Waited for the errors and they came.

Chelsea should have had Ba on much sooner, he was far more dangerous than Torres.

Are you dense?

He's right, there's no scoreline where the 2 away goals help Swansea if the scores were level after the two games.

Wudda looked class if graham had faked shot and cut inside.

So from what I remember from the 4 times he was involved, Ba lost possession twice, got booked for diving and cost his side a goal by looking like he could be offside

They've scored 2 goals away from home. That's why they're useful.

I know but i can see what he means, from here if Chelsea were to get back level they win, any other score than them winning 0-2 at Swansea, Chelsea win 1-3, 2-4 etc.

I think that's was he was getting at.

RE: Graham's goal  - would Shola have pounced on a back-pass like that, took it round the keeper and scored?  No.

Can you not remember when Shola waltzed through the Chelsea defence in this very cup a few seasons ago?

hardly "waltzed through" like

Trademark majestic Shola finish

Wonder if Geoff Shreeves is looking for Ivanovic

Chelsea have have to score at least 2 goals to level the tie which would make it level after ET on away goals. There is no situation where the away goals rule will put Swansea through so why did the commentator emphasise the importance of them for Swansea.

 The straight from a manual how to perform in the first leg away from home to ensure you're in with a shout in the second performance. Goals or no goals, Swansea never really looked conceding 'til the end and Chelsea were hoying everyone forward. Superb discipline.

From a team that can also be expansive in their play when needed, sign of a good team.

Away goals would only help chelsea now any case.

That is my point. Swansea WILL NOT be going through by away goals, yet everyone on here is laughing at me because I questioned why the commentator emphasised the importance of their goals being away goals.

He's emphasising the importance of them because now Chelsea have to win away from home by two goals?

I know what you mean, if Swansea had won 2-4 tonight they can afford to lose 2-0 at home.
