Guest BooBoo
What he should say: "A really disappointing result in a game that we had targeted three points. Injuries and suspensions have hurt us but we had a team out there capable of winning the game. We just never got going and as the game went on we ran out of steam and ideas. I think a few of our olayers just didnt turn up and thats what we'll look at this week. A frustrating day but we've got a free week to prepare for Swansea." If he talks about Brugge tiring the squad out then he deserves the flack he'll no doubt get because virtually all of our big guns weren't hugely involved in Belgium. Ketsbaia
Worryingly, didn't a load of West Ham and Charlton fans predict this? Great start, but within a season or two there will be questionable tactics and decisions and the results will drop off. Plenty said he's a one trick pony, I just wrote it off as bitterness on their part TBH. But it has to be said, their analysis looks to be pretty accurate. Just like brummie with MON and he was spot on.
Mistle17
Wolves at home last season really cemented it for me that he just isn't up to it. We're still playing with the likes of Simpson and Williamson and it's holding us back massively, however that's more down to the people above Pardew. Still, no one else would be worse than either of those two, especially Williamson. As long as Ashley's here and we're floating around mid-table/10th-8th then he's not going anywhere. Mick
Otter this has been coming since last year though. The concerns that were being screamed for most of last season are the ones that are the problem at the moment. I cannot believe anyone thinks this hasn't been coming. Last season was great in terms of results but nobody can tell me we were a really good side or that we didn't churn out some very rotten performances. Functional and clinical is about it. Spot on, this seasons performances are mirroring last seasons without the lucky results.

Yep there were plenty of people voicing these concerns last season whereas others were just happy to be picking up the points. If you don't address these issues then this is what happens. Ronaldo
In 20 years of going to SJP that's the one occasion I was totally convinced we were going to lose at HT. Dreadful nonsense.

Well i got shot down last year for saying those things, hope it is clearer for some now. No team can perform by scrapping wins with no drills or tactics. Fundamentals will still catch up to you, Kodak by not going Digital still went bankrupt.

Yes I quite agree. I've long since said we hugely punched above our weight last year and this year would inevitably see slippage. I think I said in the summer to savour the season and buy the DVD as under Ashley that's as good as it would get. I didn't anticipate the slip being quite as bad but I'm under no illusions that we rolled with luck last year in terms of injuries and things going our way. There was some top results last year but very few games I actually enjoyed until the final whistle and I could bask in the result. More often than not we got through games and took points despite often being on the back foot.
Dr.Spaceman
He got it monumentally wrong today. Needs to sort it out asap if we're going to rescue ourselves from a relegation scrap.

Spot on, this seasons performances are mirroring last seasons without the lucky results. Totally agree. Also I believe the poor window has sent the wrong signal to our top players who I believe WANT to play better football and must have wanted to push on a bit this year. The formations are too negative and as a team we don't create much, hoping for moments of brilliance from individuals....These have run out for now. Guest
I think the Wigan away game scared him off the 4-3-3 which is a shame. Need to give it another go.
Mistle17
Spurs (H)- Terrible performance. If it wasn't for Demba's brilliance we wouldn't have won, Spurs let us off the hook completely. Villa (H)- Another lethargic performance. If it wasn't for Hatem's brilliance we wouldn't have got anything. Bereft of ideas. Everton (A)- A very lucky draw, we clung on as Everton squandered chances and the linesman saved us. Demba bailing Pardew out, again. Norwich (H)- Not convincing. We let Norwich come back into the game and decided to hang on to the win. Again, lucky. Reading (A)- Disjointed. One of the poorest teams in the league gave us the run around. Demba saving us with a great strike. mackems (A)- The only game where we've put in a performance. We were brilliant, organised and looked confident. Obviously being down to 10 men for 60mins was tough but we were so unlucky not to win. West Brom (H)- The luckiest win we'll ever get. West Brom we're weak in the first half, bar Lukaku. We could have finished them off but instead fell to pieces. Pure luck. Liverpool (A)- Decent performance, however we decided to try and see out the win with a half to go instead of attacking a weak Liverpool side. That's all the games this season in the league where we've come away with points. It's a miracle we got points from half of those games. It gets worse every week. TRC
I want rid, but he is the best we can hope for. We will probably appoint some other nobody British manager that had a decent season in the PL. Should get in Gary Birtles.
Dr Venkman
It's not the same tactics as last year though. The tactic of Ba on the left and Cisse up top hasn't been tried once this year! The manager is as cowardly with his players as with his tactics if he won't play Ba there. if you think thats the answer to our problems then you've mistaken. Ba did not play there for the majority of our season, we got most of our points last season from 4-4-2. ....playing badly. We were terrific in the 4-3-3 and we won games. The College Dropout
No pattern to our attack at all. No recognisable runs or effective pattern to our passing. We can't be doing ANY attacking drills. Every time we go forward it's like the players have only just met. This is it. It's not about formations. We just don't have any patterns of attack. It's all made up on the fly.
