ujpest doza
What was our form like going into last years stunning victory? iirc we'd won away at Bolton and lost away to Liverpool in the preceding 2 games and had lost at home to WBA before that. Guest
I think Man U had just lost at home to Blackburn too.
ujpest doza
Looking back on dotcom we'd lost to Chelsea, Norwich and drew 0-0 in a dire game with Swansea prior to those WBA/Bolton/Liverpool games so we weren't on top form at all.
Stuy_O
I think Man U had just lost at home to Blackburn too. They had, which provided the usual media hysteria about how they never lose two on the bounce. Our form had dipped going into the fixture last season, with only the 0-2 at Bolton preventing our run from being shocking. We produced a performance out of nowhere for the 3-0, lets hope for another.
Dave
Actually think we'll raise our game for this. Not sure it'll be enough to win though, a score-draw would be my bet.
Froggy
Thread title I'm expecting a high scoring game to be honest. Our defence is worrying so I'm expecting to concede. I do think our attacking power will be too much for you though. I'll go 2-3. Ba with both your goals and Rooney and Van Persie sharing ours.

Jonny Evans is a doubt now

Wilson
A lot of these don't seem positive about this one.... http://www.redcafe.net/f11/newcastle-united-v-manchester-united-359864/ Have they not seen us this season? Also one of them thinks 'we'll be looking for a fast tempo from the off' ... Again, have they seen us this season?

ponsaelius
FWIW Redcafe is fairly worried about our midfield vs theirs and our front 3 vs their defence. Probably haven't seen us play all season though

Mole_Toonfan
If we actually played with a front 3 and a midfield 3 then those concerns might be legitimate.

STM
Bumming is on the cards. Man utd are purring up front, with RVP and our favourite scouser hitting some form. Their defence is shaky but all they need to do is head the ball.
buzza
I can't see anything but a Manu win, we have been pretty shabby up to now and I can't see a huge change in us before sunday. Saylor is out judging by Pardews comments and williamson will get shat on by VP and shrek, I hope Colo is back and cabaye is fit enough and mentally ready! I would love Pards to revert to a 433 for this one, have jonas and Tiote a little deeper and cabaye with a license to roam, HBA and Ba on wings when Manu in possession then all out attack when we have the ball with Ba and Cisse all working hard but making lots of movement. Dream on!

Jack Flash
I just hope we get beat. Badly. Judging by the posts in here you'd think we were playing someone unbeatable, despite them having lost more games than us.
loki679
Kind of sums up football fans really, everyone thinks they're going to get beat. Geordies, mancs, redcafe, N-O, everyone thinks they'll lose Guess the natural state of the football fan is cynical pessimism three one to them by the way.
