Guest pintofscottsellers
Mark Bright and Mick McMackem are also terrible like. I quite like McCarthy like, he just hates everything. I suppose he is canny funny at times, he hates everything about the modern game. Always comes out with 'in my day' phrases.
cp40
seems to hate us- guess we only took him from the sausage factory and gave him chance in the game- epitomises the lack of any sort of loyalty and Integrity in modern footballers.

He did a talk-in at my work with Michael Gray, he's definitely not a Mackem (his dad was though), and he had nothing but good things to say about Newcastle. Tooj
Didn't he get a load of shit when coming back here to play for Sheff Wed as we were linked with him under KK?

gbandit
Big fan of mick McCarthy, just says exact what he thinks everytime. I think he's a really decent bloke, aside from the fact that he advocates Stoke and Wolves style football

By comparison, maybe, given that he played for us and Gray certainly didn't. My anecdotal evidence is that NUFC supporters were banned from his wedding back in 1988 (?) according to my then boss, who was a trumpet of lies and deserves a hot pitchfork for it, the bugger. I still want to believe him in this respect, though. And just listen to his shite accent, man. He can't do it very well. Good player though.
Guest
When someone asked him was he proud to pull on the Sunderland shirt, he basically said not in particular, which got a laugh because I think everyone else assumed he was a Mackem, but he was pleased to do it for his father. Cronky
When he commentates on our games, it's clear he's got something against us. He did get a lot of stick when he left us, more so than Beardsley or Gazza, I seem to recall.

That would have been awesome, especially in that broad Yorkshire accent he has.
Revolution Number 9
Agree that Gary Birtles has to be the absolute worst one like. "They're too direct," "They aren't getting the ball in the box," "He's not shooting enough," "He's shooting too much," "His boots are too red," "Black boots are too plain," In the space of about 5 minutes. Cheer up, you miserable twat.
Guest BooBoo
Also was it Shepherd that banned him from the ground? Didn't he get a load of shit when coming back here to play for Sheff Wed as we were linked with him under KK? He got heavily booed the night we beat Sheff Wed 4-2. Him and Andy Sinton played well that night.
J7
His main point on the first goal the other night was how it was a terrible finish by Shola. Not sure what he was going on about tbh.

Troll
Can't believe Waddle still says "pelanty". It's not a hard word to say, everyone makes fun of it, you'd think he'd practice how to say it properly.
Minhosa
Daft Mackem wingnut can't even pronounce Arsenal. Calls them Arzal. FML. I pay to listen to this shite.
Guest Howaythetoon
He is an awful co-commentator. He actually said Shola would be disappointed with his finish and that he could have done better. HE f***ing SCORED YOU PRICK! He also criticised Tiote all game than said he had a good game when he came off. Also said we were not in the groove... after 5 minutes gone. Money for nowt, how anyone can employ him to talk about football defies belief!
alexf
is he the only co-commentator espn have? Don't think i have ever watched a premiership/europa league game on there where he isn't commentating.

madras
he is proof that quite quite often even those who have played at the highest level haven't got a frigging clue about the game. (shilton was another).
