Just taking a look at the league table if we were to do the unthinkable and Chelsea beat Swansea as they probably should there'll be a decentish gap between us in the top half and bottom half of the table.

Not to mention with our upcoming fixtures we would be in a really good place as far as European spots go going into December.

Christ. I knew our record was bad but when you see it like that....

Always annoys me how every year Liverpool turn in some dog shit home performances, but when we turn up they're on top of their game.

I'm convinced we've played a big part in that. I was trying to come up with some sort of "play the team not the occasion" bollocks but that's basically what i'm on about. If we go at them on Sunday we're well capable of beating them.

I had same reaction as this! - Would love to win there, no so many Liverpool fans who give it the big one that it would be a pleasure to have a word with them about how we beat them at their ground.

Loved watching Cisse ruin them at SJP last season, watched that with a scouser and he barely said a fucking word through the game. Kept his rage face on too.

It's a feeble excuse but I always think the top teams see us as "a big game" and usually up their game. Run of the mill sides like Wigan and Fulham always seem more likely to catch a top team half asleep than us.

1998/99: Lost 2-4 Solano, Andersson, watched this game on espn classic today like.

Was weird how Andersson managed to get the bulk of his goals for us at Stamford Bridge, Old Trafford and Anfield.

Really can't remember the useless fop scoring at home. What a signing he was.

I remember him nearly scoring a worldy on one of his first home games and that was it.

Just checked and the only other senior goal he scored while we had him other than one at home to Barnsley, was a goal for Sweden in a 2-1 win versus England. Random bloke.
