Newcastle Utd 1 - 2 Swansea - 11/17/12 -post-match reaction from page 29

We must have put in about 25 crosses, one of which was good. Utter utter rubbish.

I expected more from Fergie to tell the truth. Everyone knows he has a wicked left foot to put crosses in but

1) they were all s***

2) he did f*** all else!! you're a professional footballer for f***'s sake! how can you not pass, get involved in the overall play? all he did was turn onto his left foot and put in one s*** cross after another. became so predictable and the full back nullified him.

We really must not train during the week as there is zero evidence that we do. The team overall and the players look completely different to what we saw last season.

until they scored, we actually played better than usual,  not saying it was great, but there was some energy and intent in our play at least.  but even then we showed many moments of how easy it was for swansea to carve us open only by some top krul interventions and their lack of finishing stop them.

we tried to create chance many times, but pointless as the there was never any quality in our final ball, when the ball was good Demba was off the boil with his finish,

after numerous warnings of swansea's countering prowess , they scored

and turned into a shower.

Well congratulations to Swansea for being able to complete a pass, unlike Newcastle who were failing at the last third.

We can complete passes. We had the majority of possession for most of the game. It's just that we have no purpose when we have it.

Yes but not in the final third we didn't, lost more times than keeping it.

Those worried about relegation fights just need to calm down, once injuries and suspensions clear up we'll be better than we are now.

Having said that, Pardew's a bit of a con man isn't he? Our default pattern of play has been either 'kick it long to Ba' or 'pass it to Hatem' for two seasons now. Last season the results, the solidity in defence and the lack of injuries really tided us over, but fuck me are we poor, and that all comes from Pardew.

We are looking a bit like that team from 08-09 at the moment tbh. Shambolic at the back and clueless up front, despite the potential.

We're shite, and we can't attack a team at all, but we WILL be better with our first 11 out, or close to it.

I started typing up scores for players then realised it's pointless. Our game plan is fucking woeful, no matter who was playing for us. Taylor HBA and Santon are the only ones that did the things you expect. The rest were atrocious.
