Since when does the Ref stop a game for a player to tie their shoe laces?

Decent second half performance. It's a shame we don't play like that over 90 minutes. We created a lot of chances compared to recent games.

You dont and he got that very wrong. Only in kids football do you stop the game from restarting (you dont stop a game for it), thats usually because the ref is the one who ties them back up

Reading the BBC match report makes it sound like 90 minutes of one-way traffic with a consolation goal for the team that wasn't there.

Aye, I noticed that. Wondered if it was them being unfair on us or me being a bit over-optimistic about how much we threatened them.

didn't have any bearing on the result but the officiating was shite. warning for K Toure in the first 10mins or so, do it again and you're booked.....30 seconds later, right, do it once more and I really will book you. was defenitly a day of one foul bookings for us while they got away with it all game.

First half Simpson got booked for his first meaningful foul. Second half Zabaleta committed an almost identical foul and there was nothing.

He let go numerous freekicks from the wrong position, or with a rolling ball etc too, for both sides. At one point he made Anita move the ball back before taking a corner, and yet later in the half Santon took a throw with one foot on the pitch with no issues.

the corner, he went all the way over to check aswell, almost seemed like he was trying to waste time for them.

We played very well today and they were rocking a bit in the 2nd half but unfortunately you get no points for playing well

over a season you'll get more points playing well than playing poorly.

Didn't really work that way last season.

thought we got what we deserved last season, only the QPR away game really went against what should have happened.

Blackburn away? Man United away? Wolves away? Everton at home? Absolutely tons of performances last season where we got something we didn't deserve.

precisely but i know what he means. The trick is to now build on that performance and perform with the same intensity next week against QPR but i fear we won't and a frustrating afternoon will ensue.

Anyway, back to today. We needed to score first when we were on top in the opening exchanges and didn't.

Nasri was well offside in the build up for the 1st goal.

The 2nd goal came from a corner that should have been a goal kick as Tevez's shot hit no one.

Santon was raped by Nasri before he went off injured and was as poor on the line from the corner as Dyer was in the Nou Camp.

Anita switched off and lost Toure (who'd been poor) for the 3rd.

Otherwise Hart was the busier keeper and we gave a real good go.

i'll give you the first 2 but not the latter 2, at wolves we should have been 3 up at half time and they didn't play well, just looked worse as they shouldn't have had an equaliser ruled off. Everton was even but we created the better chances, a draw would've been fair but if either team was going to win, it would've been us. why didn't you meantion mackems (h), villa (a), swnasea (h), could even say chelsea (h).

the rest you are thinking of, the fulhams, wigans etc at home we weren't great but deserved the wins.

only the QPR game went massivly against what should've happened.
