Loïc Remy

Not taking Remy at £6.8m is an absolutely ridiculous decision imo.

Are we doing that?

Definitely agree he's worth that, especially with a bit of PL football under his belt.

(Obvious question mark is the rape thing)

Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign Loic Remy from Queens Park Rangers – but the Magpies look set to steer clear of the French international

Look set to steer clear

Same article pin pointing we snubbed Kone as he was injured for 18 months....5 year ago!!!

The whole article is a shambles. Ryder is a knob.

Well worth 6.8 million if he's not guilty, used to play as a winger back in the day as well so could fill that Demba Ba role as a LW/LF in a 4-3-3

He seems the ideal option now Aubameyang is gone.

That very much depends on what the club's intentions are.

Yep, I don't buy the 4-4-2 talk really, I'm hoping we're looking for someone who can operate wide of a 4-3-3. We'll see anyway.

Hope you're right. We don't have the midfielders to play 4-4-2 or the strikers.

transfer fee may be affordable but may be the 80k a week or so that qpr have him on thats the stumbling block

Doubt any potential suitors will be paying him 80k tbh.... if he wants to play in the PL and not the Championship he's going to have to be reasonable.

Spot on Ian. Yes he can play 442 or 433 has pace, power, skill, scores and above all creates which is something we are really really lacking. If HBA gets injured yet again we are going to really struggle again.

I am all for signing Bent as well but Remy or similar comes first in my opinion.

I absolutely hate the way Ryder in particular formulates his verdicts on our transfer policy.

We either "refuse to get dragged into bidding wars" for players we desperately need, or "steer clear" of good players. It's as if we're heroically manage to keep ourselves away from any significant recruitment while preserving our unambitious cheap approach.

Junior Hoilett could also be a good signing for us. Was class in a horrendous Blackburn team, a bit quieter last year with QPR mind you.

Not good enough.... has no idea what the word team means.

Plus there is a reason he's been relegated two years straight.
