Don't see the problem. He was excited at the possibility of his boyhood hero becoming manager. We're now going to appoint boring Steve and showing no ambition again so why shouldn't he be entitled to change his mind too?

Moussa Sissoko to L'Équipe: "For my future, I am thinking about it. Deschamps has said that the 2015/16 season is very important..."

"Speaking in France, Moussa Sissoko said he was “happy” for McClaren – who he will be working with next season. “I don’t know anything about Steve McClaren but I’m happy for him,” he said."

So I guess McClaren will not be a great draw to prospective signings.

Because some div who flirts with clubs way above his level in every transfer window says he's never heard of him?

We signed Ben Arfa under Chris Hughton for goodness sake.

He's signed names like Mendieta, Diego & Hasselbaink so I don't think it should be too much of an issue. (as if we were ever going down the big-signings route). :yao:

This guy needs to keep his gob shut. What happened to that media ban.

Only the the captain and vice should do unauthorised interviews IMO.

They beat us at signing Mendieta. I was fuming at the time, fucking Middlesbrough beating us in the transfer market

McClaren has won more than Sissoko has, and possibly ever will  :cheesy:

It's that he never shuts up for me, he's making comments about his future every month.  It's tiresome as fuck.

Well I guess he gets asked about it every month. Maybe Ian's right and he should stop giving interviews.

French journalists for some reason strike me as the marauding, fawning paparazzi of 1960s Rome, where any old soundbite will do when in the presence of anyone remotely famous. It's not just Sissoko, there have been a litany of quotes from most of our French contingent (except Gouffran, lol) whenever they cross the channel.

He told French newspaper Le Parisien: "Didier Deschamps clearly told us that he will only be choosing players who are regularly playing [at their clubs].

"With one year to go until the Euros, you cannot change club and find yourself on the bench."

He will have learnt from what has happened to Cabaye.

Clearly knows he's found his level.
