Mole_Toonfan
What Cajun said, looks class tbh and glad he is back and looks like from a mental point of view at least has no ill effects from the challenge.
Yorkie
I thought he was fucking outstanding in the first half.
Tiotes Witch Doctor
Would play him over Santon until Santon learns how to defend.
Skeletor
As much as I like Santon it's a relief to have a lefty down that side. Much better balance.
Flip
As much as I like Santon it's a relief to have a lefty down that side. Much better balance. And wow is he looking promising.
durhamunigeordie
Was just coming on to say the same thing. Makes selection on Sunday interesting. Haidara or Jonas at LB? Jonas was arguably MOM against Fulham so would be difficult to leave him out against the Mackems, but if he doesn't play full-back then he is going to end up taking the place of someone like Marveaux or Gouffran which I wouldn't like to see. Wil
Fine player this lad, did really well tonight. Along with the basic skills, looks to have a strong mentality as well as a real composure about him which I particularly like.
Ketsbaia
Was superb tonight
Rich
Picked up from where he left off. Regardless of Santon being fit or not I think he had more or less played his way into the team anyway, but tonight should have obviously sealed that. Cracking little signing and Pardew seems delighted with him.
Hughesy
No doubt already been mentioned but there must be a way that a song can be made up for him to sussudio by Phil Collins? Surely?
Guest JRandall96
Showed some great signs today i thought. Made some good runs down the line, he seems very quick too. I think he'll prove to be a great buy. Can cover Santon

LRD
I thought he was f***ing outstanding in the first half. This. Played like the whole McManaman incident didn't happen. Great to see him not affected mentally by that assault. Promising future ahead.

I think he'll prove to be a great buy. Can cover Santon Will replace Santon. this won't go down well but i'd start looking at santon as a winger or attacking forward next season, use 'sadio and jonas as LB's assuming jonas wasn't just fluking a couple of decent performances would save us having to gamble on another winger imo, plus he's got defensive responsibility ingrained in him from his time at FB and can also cover if necessary
Ryan_Taylor
Hard as fuck this kid, like.
buzza
MOM for me. Thought he defended well and the few forays up the field always ended with a decent cross into the box. he has pace on him when he gets going as well. If we had to judge Santon and Haiadara on current play, Santon would be on the bench...
Dan Gleebals
Great to have him back. Can't help thinking how lucky he is (and we are) that his injury was not serious. He has 6 games to put a big marker down now for that left back spot. I think he will take it.
Norseman
He's shown a lot of promise so far. Looks like a marvellous piece of business. I have a feeling he will be our starting left back next season.
AyeDubbleYoo
Looks a great signing. As good as Santon is he's going to come under some serious pressure when we don't have European football to rotate the squad in. Maybe we could try not getting knocked out of every domestic cup immediately.
Lotus
His form allows Santon (when back) to switch to RB as well when Debuchy's knacked/suspended/whatever.
Ste
I think he should hold his head up high, what a performance. In for every loose ball and 50/50, which is quite remarkable being his first game back since the Mcmanaman tackle. Well done Haidara lad. Looking forward to seeing him play more. Maybe we could try not getting knocked out of every domestic cup immediately. This. Keep safety and build on the squad this summer and we have no excuse but to get a good domestic cup run or 2 with the squad now. Sadio is going to be a top player, it's only going to force Davide to up his game.
alexf
Think we did miss some of Santon's attacking play last night. Those driving runs help put the opposition on the back foot. Feel sorry for Santon. Seemed a bit burnt out before the injury and having something of a crisis of confidence, which is to be expected of a 21/22 year old who has made a couple of defensive errors. Deuce
Really like what Haidara offers on the left. You can tell he has a lot of passion as well. Will make Santon's eventual departure all the easier to handle.
LiquidAK
Didn't Santon do this before? I seem to recall that at Inter he was the bees knees until he made a few mistakes which ruined his confidence and he ended up being a bit shit after that? Not saying he'll never be good again, just vaguely concerned that he has previous of letting mistakes wreck his confidence and game.
