Playing 2 ball playing CBs both on the small side has never worked in the PL. It never will, either. PL strikers are superathletes in 2015. Partnering Mapou with a bloke who gets outmuscled and out jumped by Shane Long would never have brought out the best in him. If we had lost Coloccini and replaced him directly with MYM, none of this would be an issue now. Seems idiotic to buy a replacement for Colo rather than a big CB which we actually need. MYM was a flop for us and we got our money back. In a twisted way, it proves the model works (for Ashley). We could flog Sissoko tomorrow for 5x what we paid (if it was 2m). Potentially up to 10x. Pardew is to blame for 100% of the negative things at the club - except about 10% of the playing staff consisting of the likes a Tiote & Gouffran. People expect players to come in and just play as they should as if it's Fifa or something, you give players time, especially when they're young, have a very good reputation and the alternatives are shit.
