So it's pointless blaming defenders for not winning aerial tussles when it's not what they are good at. Unless that defender is a 6ft 2" giant with "leadership" credentials like Mike Williamson. True but what's more important for that position? Jamie Carragher was okay at best on the ball but imperious in the air (among other things). It's wierd how biases work on this forum. It's a crime for Paul Dummett to have fairly basic technique and all-round play even though he's a fairly solid defender.
