BillClinton
Happy with the reaction on here, I though he was a bright spot. Provided some service that should have won us the game
AyeDubbleYoo
He was good, also the team can't continue only being able to attack down one side.
ujpest doza
Good delivery, got stuck in and also stopped Hutton marauding down the wing all the time. Swung it back in our favour after a sticky 20 minutes after half time.
toontownman
Good shift, beat his man several times and a couple of good crosses. Basically everything we are missing playing a cm on the wing. Time to drop colback and push Gini back inside.

sbnufc
Watching the game back again now (it's re-run on TV) and in the space of about 5 minutes he put in 4 class crosses which no one got on the end of. Rinsed Hutton for 3 of them too. Hope to see more of that from him. Needs to be starting games though

NEEJ
Did well without the context of who he and Cabella replaced.

Dave
Starting Thauvin means dropping someone (Anita) and putting players in positions they apparently can't play in (Wijnaldum).
sbnufc
Starting Thauvin means dropping someone (Anita) and putting players in positions they apparently can't play in (Wijnaldum). Put Gini #10 (he roams everywhere as it is), Thauvin left, Sissoko right. 4-2-3-
Dave
With who up front?
sbnufc
With who up front? Depends on the opposition I suppose. Also depends on no hoofball from the back, which we're unable to do with Dummett and Colo in the team by the looks of things
Dave
Colo played some decent long passes today I thought. Dummett just smashed it forwards aimlessly and most of the time out of play.
Menace
Start him from now on, he's an exciting player.
greydos
Colo played some decent long passes today I thought. Dummett just smashed it forwards aimlessly and most of the time out of play. Colo played some nice passes on the floor into Cisse and Sissoko's feet. Dummet is terrible on the ball. Whereas a decent player passes the ball to another player, Dummett always passes the ball to an "area." He's the typical no talent kid stuck at fullback at school: you tell good players to try and pick out so-an-so up top, you tell a Dummett to "hit it up the channel." At least he looks like he thinks that when he gets the ball
bowlingcrofty
Has to play in games like today against the poorer sides where they're going to sit back. Fair enough Sissoko and Gini on the wings away or against the good sides at home, but today we needed to stretch the play a lot more than we did. huss9
we need better cm's if thauvin's to flourish.

Gallowgate Toon
He's getting there. Was afforded some space and made positive moves.
Stottie
Dunno if it was Hutton bad or tired or Thauvin good, but he beat him several times to the outside and swung in good crosses. On another day, Mitrovic will reach them.
samag
may prove to be useful when the game's more stretched in the last twenty minutes. Far to early to judge him. thought he did well yesterday though
toontenacity
One thing I have to give credit to McClaren for is his willingness to put Thauvin on at the end of games, regardless of whether we are chasing a game or defending a lead. Pardew/Carver would have just thrown Gouffran on. One of the few indications that McClaren is a little more adventurous. We have all been saying for years that the worst thing to do when we are leading is to just chuck on players who the manager thinks can 'track back' and doesn't offer too much 'fret'

buzza
Thauvin was class yesterday, his first touches his pace on the ball in those conditions and he got every cross in the right area. Was very impressed, there is a player in there for us! As per the points above, I would also rather we dropped one of Anita/Colback and bring Wijnadlum into the middle. Actually, i think if we were to do that we need to bring Tiote back into the middle and drop both anita and colback and go something like this: ------------------------------------fats-------------------------------------- Janmmaaaat------Mbemba--------------Colo-----------Mbabu (dummet just gets worse) -------------------------------Tiote----------------------------------- Perez------------Wiji---------------DeJong-----------Sissoko ---------------------------Nitro------------------------------------
