Gallowgate Toon
I did think that but will Klopp drop Kuba? I don't rate him that highly personally even if he does get a good number of goals and assists. I hope they keep Reus left tbh, I think it's his best role for them. They will at least replace Gotze and maybe more if the Kicker article that confirmed this deal is anything to go by. They want to buy 2 or 3 offensive players this summer apparently. Eddy Chibas
Cracking move for him, if anyone will develop his game, it'll be Klopp. Perhaps suggests that Reus will be playing in the middle next year with Aubameyang on the left? Aye, whereas he's dodged the space-time continuum that is Planet Pardew. I've taken this news (talented, young, rising like a bullet/'boom player') with indifference tbh,. It's my attitude, re: missing out on transfers for similar type players (even Ince), while this man remains in charge.
timeEd32
WhoScored.com @WhoScored Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Only Negredo and Cavani missed more clear-cut chances in Europe's top 5 leagues last season than Aubameyang (25) Dodged a bullet.

colinmk
When you watch Dortmund flood forward though and he is instinctively running into the correct channels, you just know that unfortunately he made the correct choice by a million miles. Pardew would see him as a pacey outlet for our 'quarterback' to hit, which might have worked sometimes but would have been obvious as fuck.

Pardew would see him as a pacey outlet for our 'quarterback' to hit, which might have worked sometimes but would have been obvious as f***. If Pardew is to continue borrowing terms from other codes to add a glossy finish to his style of play, we may as well go with 'vertical passing attack' (with its reliance on deep 'outside' threats, as wide receivers) from now on, as a substitute for kick & chase long-ball football. Makes Pardew's long-ball game, which would extracted only a fraction of PEA's potential, sound that much better.

You know Pardew described Cabaye as his 'quarterback' right, hence the context applied to that post (and the hint of sarcasm). Although i suspect you've bitten, because i've had another pop-shot at your 'man' (ie. Pardew). Thanks, you've made my day actually. And this is related to: if you've been remotely happy watching our quarterback lofting balls over the top (a gross misuse of a player with such a varied passing range, for most of Cabaye's time here) than fair play to you. Some people are easily pleased.

Ste
This seems to be popping up more and more as a regular theme. Can't people just accept Ian W has a different opinion to Pardew than most? I haven't got a problem with anyone being able to take positives from any situation, there's so much doom and gloom about here these days that it's refreshing to read a different view. This isn't directed entirely at you Eddy, it's just something I've noticed across a few threads.

I also don't have any agenda to defend Pardew at all costs, I've said many times he's an average manager at best. All I want it a decent discussion instead of a one-way torrent of whinging.
