For bloody fucks sake, is he actually making excuses before we play the worst team in the league, instead of worrying about them he should be coming out and saying how much we want and need this and that we're gonna give it all we've got. Not these fucking weasel like comments from this negative twat, sick to death of this shit now.

Guarantee every other manager has said the same bollocks about QPR. It's general manager tripe to go on about not underestimating the worst team in the league. Daft to be getting annoyed at it.

It's like a parody.

'I can't say that this game is a game that we're confident of winning'

He's the most negative bastard we've ever had managing the club, even Dalglish came across as positive when compared to this fraud.

It's basic psychology man. How many times have people said that Kevin Keegan wasn't great tactically (arguable) but more than made up for it anyway by making the players feel like they could beat absolutely anybody?

Any Newcastle fan who wants this cunt in charge of NUFC is mentally deficient. I cannot take any more of this pathetic defeatism.

Then you'll be happy to go and get quotes from "every other manager."

They may already have been relegated from the Barclays Premier League, but Alan Pardew expects Queens Park Rangers to go down fighting in their final two fixtures.

And so, although the West London outfit currently occupy bottom spot in the table and have nothing to play for but pride, the Newcastle boss knows Sunday's trip to Loftus Road still represents a tough challenge.

It's like a parody.

'I can't say that this game is a game that we're confident of winning'

 It's fucking unbelievable.  Every game there are reasons to be fearful and it goes way, way beyond paying appropriate respect to the opposition.

I've convinced myself he's for the chop (as you all know ) but if he's not then I'm going to have to make a conscious decision to not get so hung up on NUFC until he's gone and N-O wise go back to my more suitable place on General Chat.

“It is difficult to know,” grimaced Arsène Wenger. “For example with QPR on Saturday, you don’t know what you will meet. Maybe you will meet a team who is firing on all cylinders.

“On the other hand what [Manchester United] side will Chelsea meet on Sunday? I don’t know. So it is very difficult.

“I don’t really want to speculate. Let’s just focus on our performance, our quality and how we want to play. The Premier League is the Premier League and you don’t win 3-0 or 4-0 in many games. It is always tight"

:( I was feeling pretty confident about this game until I read those comments. Imagine him "motivating" the players with this bullshit. ffs.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2323055/Alan-Pardew-admits-Newcastle-look-new-manager.html

'I have had seasons with the same amount of problems as I have had this year, which have been many, regarding injuries and form.

'But people forget this is my first European campaign. I had one go at Europe before and we didn't get through the qualifying games, so this was my first season's experience of that and I will have gained from that.

'It's been a massive learning curve in terms of what a European campaign brings to the group, the added pressures it brings, and that's something I am pleased I have got now, because I didn't foresee it being as problematic as it was.'

'Mike and I will sit down as soon as we know what division we're in,'

'We need to find out what the reasons were and then it's for Mike, and hopefully with me, to decide how to go forward. It's a privilege and honour to be manager of this club.

'But Mike could decide he needs a new manager. I like to think that he won't, that next year he'll stay with myself.'

'[Man United] is a difficult job and [sir Alex Ferguson] made it look relatively easy. When you look at all those great players he brought in, and then he had to get rid of.

'It's very difficult to get rid of great players. Here, we have moved on one or two great players - Kevin Nolan, Joey Barton, Andy Carroll - they are great players and we moved them on.

'You do lose great players and it's about replacing them and getting the right feel.

'In the summer at this football club, we need to look very, very carefully at next year to make sure we enhance the group we have got with the right signings.'

'To ask [the new players] to play the games they have with no experience of the Premier League and a completely different way of playing football, trust me, it's been amazing, some of the performances they have put in.

'They have had some down days - they were going to - but they will certainly be better for it.

'Mapou last week after having a real off day against Liverpool showed what a character he is to put that performance in. That was a really good sign.'

What I have witnessed from a relegation fodder team in that cup final has just cemented how useless this dickhead is. Confidence, expression, having the time of their lives. Has me wincing thinking how bad we are in comparison.

Not just QPR though is it? It's every week, then every week a draw is a magnificent result, and every week he sets the team up to try and nullify whatever they've got to offer.

It's not to be taken in isolation. It's a constant grinding down of hopes and expectations. It gets me down listening to him say how fantastic the opposition are, the players must think "are you on smack, you fucking dullard, you've got Hatem Ben Arfa in your squad and we're sitting listening to you tell us how hard he should be working to stop Reading's wide players?"

I agree and I'm not sticking up for him, just saying it's the usual 'respect the other team, don't underestimate them' bullshit that managers come out with (granted Pardew comes out with it more so than others).

just got a feeling that if he stay's he's gonna be even more negative and focussed on the opposition next season.

think his aim will be mid table safety, no more no less.

never once has he mentioned that the team needs to be more positive in their play. it's been about shape etc.

 Exactly, every week it's the same.  Every week there's a new reason to be afraid and not expect much.

Since the last minute winner against Stoke we've played 7 times, picked up 5 of the 21 points available and the aggregate score is 16-3.

Those 4 last minute winners are the only thing that's keeping our heads (just) above water. It's simply not sustainable and if we stay up this year and fail to sack him in the summer then we'll go next year instead. Genuinely don't know how much shitter it's got to get before he's binned.

Exactly, he does it every fucking week, spends too much time emphasising on opposition strengths and individual players, instead of looking at his own team and thinking how they can be affective for US he's looking at how they can affect the opposition players from performing.

It's a constant stream of negative bullshit, I can agree to an extent that you can't go into a match expecting to win (see Man City) but he obsesses about every opposition we play and those comments diminish any hope I had of him releasing the shackles in a must win game. For all his talk of throwing everything out the window for a win, these are the same quotes we hear week after week.

So forgive me for being irate but I've had enough and what might seem innocuous to you is just another nail in the coffin to me.

Hasn't he been saying all season that it's unprecedented? He even manages to contradict himself in successive sentences.

I've had seasons like this before, but I've never had a season like this before.

Sounds rattled marra.
