It worked for him last year with many people amazingly buying the "Europa league was cause of our bad season" - despite it not affecting other clubs who've been in Europa league. Thing is, the players used it as an excuse for underperforming too - so it worked last time (how ?) so he'll no doubt use the same again. Maybe we should call him The Excuseinator ? Didnt last long like as 2-0 seemed to knock the stuffing out of us & they started having strops. Be good though if we saw more of that, theyre capable if they stay confident. They had the same amount of shots as we did but obviously they dug in and prevented the opposition from scoring, that's how they won. Our lot didn't want to even touch the shovel handle on Monday night. It was the same bend over and get it over with attitude we showed at the Etihad at the end of last season. No change whatsoever.
