"We had a good meeting after - me, Mike and Joe - just to make sure we know exactly what is going on on the pitch and what's going on in terms of the results. "There was nothing untoward there." Is that similar to the good meeting Pardew had with the owner at the end of last season following the Sunderland and Liverpool thrashings? I'm sure when we were 3-0 down at half time on Monday, Ashley must have thought Pards has certainly got the troops well marshalled following that summer planning session.
