Its further down the ladder I'd worry about, could kill off a lot of youth systems, costs a lot of money to run and in the end anyone of any major talent you produce will get taken for nothing. Even been thinking about deleting my account on here just to get away from it. I'm not just losing love for the game, I'm starting to hate it. I hate all the clubs. I don't give a fuck about a single fuck about any of our players. Tried watching the Chelsea-Arsenal game, but had to turn it off at half time. The blatant cheating from players and refs is an absolute disgrace. I really hope we go down as I just want a little bit of hope back. He just might sell if we're in the CC. The few get richer and better off, subjecting those in the next tier down to lives of mediocrity or a lifelong fight against slipping into poverty (relegation), and those in the lower tiers no one gives a fuck about anyway so who cares? All the while media tells us it's all getting better year on year and more exciting etc. then England go to a major tournament and the truth is exposed for a split second until Sky comes back and convinces everyone things really are great. Like I said yesterday, my apathy (though it has been worse) doesn't only come from the state of our club - the Premier League in general is just an insipid institution these days. There's just so much about it that I can't abide. I'm sure I'd get lost in the success, if it ever were to happen, but it's almost like 'if this is what we're fighting for then you can bloody well keep it.' One of the most recent gripes I've added to my personal stockpile of cynicism is the off-pitch drama. I'm really starting to grow wearisome to it now. Mourinho, for example. I don't even treat him as a controversial, outspoken manager these days. He's just a plot device that the broadcasters gobble up and sell as the latest character story in some soap opera. Series 10 of the Premier League - more juicy gossip than ever! "Remember that one where Jose banned the doctor!? Ha ha that was a good one."
