Peder75
Think he looked like Shola Mk II yesterday. Reminded me of when Pardew took in Shola because he was good at defending corners. With Carroll up top, we are so one dimensional. All free kicks and crosses go towards him. What happened to Muto? At least he runs a lot and puts some pressure on the defenders. HawK
Nicky Summerbee played for Swindon in the PL but returned to them 11 years after, when they were very much not in the PL. This is a tough one.
Stifler
Fowler for Liverpool?
SteV
Fowler for Liverpool? Was going to guess him, but surprisingly only 5 years.

samptime29
Did 3 good headers and that was it really. Can't play on floor. 3 is generous. He's a fucking carthorse whose absurdly poor performance is masked by successfully doing his job a single time. Did a class defensive header, a really good flick on and nobody gambled, and the Shelvey assist. I agree he is fucked on the floor though.
Happinesstan
Carroll started his first Premier League game for Newcastle in eight years and 342 days - the second longest run between starts for the club in the competition after Pavel Srnicek (nine years, 62 days), and the seventh longest gap between starts by any player at a single club in the competition's history. Any idea who the others are? Can only think of Rooney and Jagielka, must be missing some really obvious ones Henry? Not sure how long that was between him leaving and going back. Andy King of Leicester? Edit: no. but I think there could be a Leicester player in there.
HawK
Hang on, isn't Wayne Rooney the longest?
Happinesstan
Hang on, isn't Wayne Rooney the longest? Think so. Pav is the longest at the toon.
HawK
Think Steve Staunton's first Liverpool spell predates the PL, otherwise that'd be a neat 7ish year gap. Edit: Oh longer than 9 years basically, wow.
Happinesstan
Not sure if by 'history of the tournament' they mean only the EPL, but Chris Turner might be one for Sheff Wed. Again no. Sheff Wed were in the 3rd div. before my time. Although the 3rd division is now the first division.
HawK
Eidur Gudjohnsen.. if only Bolton were back in the Prem when he returned, 14 year gap there.

TRon
Great signing for this sort of manager tbf. Just imagine what he could have done with Rondon.
Yorkie
Great signing for this sort of manager tbf. Just imagine what he could have done with Rondon. The same thing; punt it long at him. Carroll's played his part in the last two games, like, without a doubt. It's not like he became a bad player, he's just unsustainable.

Carroll's played his part in the last two games, like, without a doubt. It's not like he became a bad player, he's just unsustainable. Rondon is more mobile, scores more goals, and will be fit for more games in a season. Decent free kick taker as well, but in hindsight that £16m price tag is probably not worth it for a side that only needs to avoid relegation.
Yorkie
Oh I definitely agree that Rondon is several times the player Carroll is these days. He was mint.
