Are these capable of beating Cardiff,West Brom and Swansea?

I really don't think these are dead and buried yet.

They deserve to go down though, winning 6 games out of 33 is shocking.

Their draw tonight, for me, doesn't whatsoever indicate they'll get enough points in those games you mentioned. They've struggled all season in games they "should" win but quite often make it tough for the better teams.

But I've got a funny feeling were going to stop up. Admittedly it might be delirium from no sleep yesterday, a point last night and 7hrs into a night shift but I can just sense it. I think Swansea could be our saviours and us to beat them on the last day sending them down with Norwich and Cardiff...

This weekend needs to seal it:

Chelsea vs Sunderland

Cardiff vs Stoke

Norwich vs Liverpool

If Chelsea plus either Cardiff or Norwich win, I'd say that'll almost be it. Fulham vs Hull is soon after too.

Until all the clubs above the dropzone have 36 points then they are still in it.

They can be mathematically down before that happens like..

Yeh but the point was no matter what they have to win 3 of their last 5, that's 35 points and until they can't do that then they are down. Cardiff winning at the weekend means next to nothing, it doesn't change that Sunderland have to win heir last 3. Cardiff aren't going to reach 36 points unless they beat Sunderland and that would mean Sunderland can't get their 35. Assuming we write off Chelsea and Man Utd games.

Just as there were various Hominid species (most of which died out)  Sunderland maintained a very narrow DNA pool, observing incestuous behaviour.  That's why the buggers are close yet so far apart.
