Revolution Number 9
Just had a proper look at what they're looking at in the summer - they have 6 first teamers/rotation options out of contract and 6 on loan. In theory, as of this moment that's 12 players gone at the end of the season for no money Holy fucking shit. Who allowed that to happen? And that's not even including the players who could jump ship if they were relegated. IMO - Johnson Mannone Giacherrini Fletcher Brown O'Shea Could all feasibly end up either at a premier league team or abroad if they go down. Considering how inept the current leadership has been with regards to ensuring they have enough players to actually compete in a match up to this point, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw at least 2-3 of these going. That's 14-15 players they could be losing in one summer. How on earth do you recover from that? The sheer amount of squad-building they need to do is ridiculous - Short has to fund yet another transfer spree or they're completely fucked. Also, just seen a quality quote from RTG - Johnson is the 20th top goalscorer in the league and also 34th for assists in a team that is going to get relegated. We'll get 10m easy. Snap him up, top division managers of the world, he's 34th for assists you know.

Imagine the wankfest they will have and all the superlatives s*** they will come up with if they escape. looking at the fixtures- they could be 7-10 points adrift in a couple of weeks. Aye that's the only thing keeping them headed for the drop. If the fixture list was in the opposite order, I could see them getting a few results to put pressure on the dross around them. It's a bit like Wigan last year who just couldn't make up the ground despite having the games in hand.

In theory, as of this moment that's 12 players gone at the end of the season for no money Holy f***ing s***. Who allowed that to happen? It's worse than 'for no money'. The out of contract players will get loyalty bonuses for seeing their contracts out, often estimated at around about a years wages.
