"If I was in the director's box I'd have stopped their winning goal"

I do chuckle at that nonsense from him, how come he didn't stop Man City stuffing us or Sunderland or Swansea, or Chelsea, or Tottenham etc when he was on the sideline.

About as convincing as Stone Cold being mates with Vince McMahon.

Aren't they very good mates?

Brett's heel turn has been pretty good tbh

Cruyffed the s*** out of it, cya Pards.

 it's good cos we can be smug about how right we were, and how wrong you were

I still maybe right if he's here next season to turn it around...one last chance  :shifty:

I don't know why everyone is thumbing their nose at Brett, with Jonjo and Colback in the bag next season, Pardew will be making a few people eat their words. We'll be showing Crystal palace and Stoke a thing or two about British grit!

Not a great fan of Tiote but we've looked decidely worse without him. Would be great to get someone better than him but that's true of the other 10 positions too.

Don't know anyone who is a fan of Jonas in football terms.

I'd say a defensive midfielder is heavily responsible for controlling the midfield through winning the ball and recycling possession.

He does that okay for the most part, like I said yesterday I don't think defensive midfield is where we have problems. Shelvey wasn't considered good enough for Liverpool, but since our rivals are more likely to be Stoke and Palace next year I suppose we shouldn't complain.

Tiote is a blunt instrument and a bit of an idiot but he is capable of offering something to the side. He is perfectly capable of recycling possession and of winning the ball. He should never go beyond that though and he needs to be coached to that effect and barracked when he deviates from this.

We should be a 4-3-3 side. He would be fine as the deepest of the midfield 3.

Fair enough that you like your midfielders to be footballers.

Correct but Pardew's tactics don't allow Tiote to concentrate on just that. The amount of times he was the one on the edge of the oppo's box with Cabaye behind him was ridiculous.
