Thought Jörg Albertz was great for some reason too. Probably those free kicks on highlights.

Probably those free kicks on highlights. I'm more because the likes of van Basten, Shearer, Lineker and Gascoigne are cropping up here and mine was Clarky My grandad used to prattle on about being his headteacher at Walkergate primary too, which reinforced it a bit. AyeDubbleYoo
To elaborate on Klinsmann... just saw him play in a Spurs game (I think it was Notts Forest, maybe in the cup), and I remember being amazed by how elegantly he moved. Think he picked up the ball at the half way line, played a pass into midfield, carried on his run then ended up in the box to volley the goal. Village Idiot
Van Basten was obviously my first non-Barça idol, like most kids from my generation probably.
