I think even the Pardew doubters, In which I include myself want the team to play well and win. People are critical of the man with good reason for the most part. It's just one game, you said we will lose to Fulham without Tim Krul. We will, Elliot is horrific. Bent & Berbatov will require some excellent keeper work, he's not capable and since we aren't capable of scoring goals this game is basically over before it starts. We haven't got more than 1 goal in us, if we are to win its going to be keeping a clean sheet, without Krul that has just got so much harder. Pilko Posted August 31, 2013 Share Posted August 31, 2013 I know loads of people don't rate Elliot but fucking hell, the way some go on you'd think he was Lionel Perez and John Karelse's fucking lovechild. He's a low-end Premier League goalie and pretty adequate second choice. He has good games and below par games. We got lucky with Given and Harper both being incredibly capable and I think people forget that most teams have a somewhat average sub keeper.
