Skeletor
Can see now why we differed in transfer policy with Patrick Vieira. 'I wanna sign players' 'Well how about we don't sign any players and you just lie to the fans instead?'
Noodles
All this talk of Austin/Berahino/Thauvin/Ince will soon become whoevers cheapest. We all know it, I don't even know why we get fuckin giddy.

Dr.Spaceman
He hasn't signed yet. Calm down ffs. Just because it's a rumour you don't want to hear, it doesn't mean it's true.
STM
Nothing wrong with signing players on loan, provided we get a potential agreement towards a long term deal. Anyone who thinks we are only going to sign players on big fees want their heads checked. That's if we sign anyone on a big fee. Reserve judgement until September. If they haven't delivered, tear the place up.

And even if it is true, so what. Doesn't mean we won't be signing anyone else. Exactly my point. Up to now we can take absolutely nothing from what's happened. Unbelievable
If the Bas Dost rumours are true we can take an awful lot from that, especially on top of our managerial appointment.
AyeDubbleYoo
His goal videos are fairly decent TBF, he makes runs and he finishes neatly. Not as immobile as I expected. Not much to go on I admit.

I really struggle to see some of the negativity with the guy. It's a bit more of a gamble, but I like the look of the guy myself. Fantastic awareness in the box. It's up to the manager to get us playing so we create the chances for him. I agree about his mobility too. Looks a good athlete, with some quickness. How much have you seen from him apart from a three minute Dennis Wise scouting session? I am yet to see the first person who actually follows German or Dutch football suggest he is good enough for the PL. Luuk de Jong, who has had a similar career, is a better forward imo. AyeDubbleYoo
One of his goals is a proper Cisse can't-stop-scoring effort, just slices it on the volley straight into the top corner

Haven't seen Luuk apart from when he was here, but yeah Bas Dost has been on great form for Wolfsburg for 3-4months or so but still looked absolutely disgusting in general play and before that. Not sure he's an actual footballer. He'll be another Riviere I'd guess if he arrived.

Remember thinking it was a Cisse goal as well Technically it's excellent but I'm sure he didn't actually mean to hit it like that.

Unbelievable
I assume your positivity with regards to Dost is based on a belief that the rumour is rubbish then, or do you believe those who have actually seen him plenty of times and don't think he is good enough to all be completely wrong? Guest Alexinho
Might be a bit too negative... But a lot of realism in it! Not used to be surprised in a positive manner... Hopefully this is the year, but optimistic? No way... Not yet!

I just don't think he can be rubbished to the extent he has been. I don't think if we bought him it's proof of us just being cheap for the sake of it either. Yes, he might not be perfect, but a lot of strikers who aren't have scored goals in this league. All depends on what is going to be put around him. We also have a coach now apparently, so we'll see I guess.
