It's not even the end of June, and people are acting like its the end of the world that we havent signed anyone, I know it would've be nice if we'd have signed someone by now, but its hardly reason to be concerned just yet.

Yeah! Let's not let potential new signings get to know their team mates on and off the pitch and be a big part of the pre season and adapt themselves. Especially considering how many new players we need and should sign.

Clubs who looked well equipped last season are strenghtening already, we've not even sorted out the fucking coaching set up yet and arguably require more reinforcements than the majority of other teams in the league.

I'm more concerned about the quality of the signings rather than the number. Truth is we have degraded the club's appeal to such a degree in the last few years that it is a much harder sell to attract players than it was previously. Take Berahino for example. Even if we were in for him, what is the chance he would rather come here than say Spurs if we match the price? I just can't see us getting top players without doing a Freddie Shepherd and blowing other clubs out of the water with daft fees or wages. How likely is that to happen?

well - scouting and finding players + staff is not something that starts the day the transfer window opens...its an ongoing thing.

Signing good players early on shows you have ambitions andi believe it will make it easier to attract other players and keep the fans calm.

Maybe you have to accept that for example 2 quality signings will cost a bit extra and maybe the next joins easier because they believe in the project and not just the money.

Not saying im an expert but it seems like common sense imo.

Other teams are signing players, and we nearly got relegated. Fuck waiting, it should have been done early

Exactly, all the shit spouted by Concur, Carver & Charnley since January and we havent even bid for a player one week before pre season training. Such planning, still they have changed

http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2015/west-ham-turning-a-corner-in-marseille-negotiations-for-dimitri-payet/

As for Florian Thauvin, Newcastle United made a €12m offer for the player in May and an unnamed side has now made an offer worth around €20m for the player in recent days. Thauvin has confirmed to Marseille that he has no interest in leaving the club this summer and rejected Newcastle’s advances in May.

Marseille President Vincent Labrune’s problem is that the sale of Florian Thauvin instead of Dimitri Payet would please Marcelo Bielsa more, the manager who has of course yet to sign a contract extension, with his current Marseille deal expiring in 6 days. A Payet departure might affect Bielsa’s future in a way which would see the Marseille project implode.

Probably wants to do it.

Well I want her to do it as well I must admit.

At the expense of our signings?! Are you people crazy?!

Which one would you put your money on? I'm going with the strip every time.

Usually I'd agree with the whole June thing, but considering we have 5 years of history indicating that nothing will change over the next 2 and half months I don't.

Exactly. Only a stooge would give these mooks the benefit of the doubt at this point.
