He did get a decent group of players to work with but it was impressive how he managed to improve each and every one of them and consistently over deliver until this season. There is an element of Klopp at Dortmund and Rafa at LFC with him. It is very difficult to constantly punch over your weight day in day out and get your players to play at 150% again and again and again. At some point you will slip up. They're 6th now for what it's worth, Poch finished in the top 4 in four of the last five seasons, after only doing so twice in the last 22 seasons before he arrived. They were battered by Man City and Ajax but somehow advanced from both matchups. Poch is obviously a class manager but it really feels like this is good move for both parties.
