The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Steve Cooper sacked by Leicester

Recommended Posts

One of the best pure coaches in the premier league in the last 10 years. He did get a decent group of players to work with but it was impressive how he managed to improve each and every one of them and consistently over deliver until this season.

There is an element of Klopp at Dortmund and Rafa at LFC with him. It is very difficult to constantly punch over your weight day in day out and get your players to play at 150% again and again and again. At some point you will slip up. The next club he joins is getting a world class manager.

Mad how one bit of bad form nowadays makes a club sack there manager, so undeserved that.

They are behind us in 2019 table and +30 league games could be considered a pretty long time in modern football. Well behind Ole who everyone loves to laugh at.

Exactly

Wasn't there a Champions League final, or have I gone completely mad?

Yes his greatest achievement is best loser.

Thought and hoped that rancid dullard Mourinho had been consigned to the bin.

Yeah, I know he’s been touted in the press, but I never thought Mourinho would actually go to Spuds.

Hope he does - it can’t possibly end well

Likewise, even moreso given the turnover of players they’re probably going to need and have.

A whopping 7 points behind Ole. They're 6th now for what it's worth, Poch finished in the top 4 in four of the last five seasons, after only doing so twice in the last 22 seasons before he arrived. Comparing him to Solskjær is ridiculous, Solskjær has done absolutely nothing compared to Poch.

While Solskjær has won Tippeligaen and got relegated with Cardiff. Some credentials that.

Of course but it was similar fluke to Pardew's 5th place season. They were battered by Man City and Ajax but somehow advanced from both matchups.

Poch is obviously a class manager but it really feels like this is good move for both parties.

Poch>>>>>>>OGS obviously but most seem to think this sacking is harsh and undeserved while laughing at Ole at the wheel.

Try comparing what Poch has done for Tottenham and what Solskjær has done for Man U (as a manager), and you'll see the point.
