The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Van Nistelrooy to Leicester | Lampard to Coventry

Recommended Posts

They have sacked a manager who hasn't won a trophy for a serial winner yet people are mocking the appointment

while I partly agree on paper there is several caveats, no 1 being mourinhio who likes to spend money and daniel levy who does not like to spend money is a pr disaster waiting to happen, no 2 poch turned spurs from occasionally a champions league team into a consistent top 4 side and got them to the CL final last year all while not having the resources in transfer fees and wages that everyone around spurs have which is unlikely to change with the stadium to pay for and levy being fairly tight in general

I remember when Newcastle United used to make decisions like this because we were madly chasing the dream of some sort of success, these days we chase 17th as cheap as possible with the ambition of survival.

What a prick job Levy is. Gave him all those top four finishes, a few cup finals and did it on a barely any money. They spent nothing last year.

Did all this happen because Vertonghen got off with Eriksen's wife?

Is this actually a thing or a hypothetical example of how playing groups disintegrate?

It’s like Keegan to Dalglish. They might improve the rest of the season and finish top 5 or 6 when they were in real danger of it not happening, but it’ll be interesting to see what he does when some of the big players leave this summer.

That was fast.

Obviously mooching behind Pochettinos back to make sure they could get Jose before turfing him out.

Poch > Mourinho.

Indeed.

Happy to acknowledge that Man U are competing with Spurs this season after this turn of events.

Equally as happy to maintain that Man U (and now Spurs) are in Arsenal's rear view mirror.
