The Managerial Merry Go Round™ – Potter to replace Lopetegui at West Ham

Without knowing loads about him I hadn't expected Lopetegui to be such a disaster. My recollection is that Wolves fans were sad and angry when he decided it was pointless him staying there. Did well there and Sevilla... seemed a clear upgrade on Moyes. Hasty decision or just obviously a bad fit?

Always feel for football managers to be a success the fit has to be right regardless of reputations. Never looked a good fit. That’s why we should never forget how lucky we are we landed Howe.

How would it be controversial, Moyes did a great job overall from relegation mix to 6th and 7th place finishes and a European cup.

If the people who watch a team every week hate a manager despite their league position, it's usually for a good reason.  Remember, Pardew got us 5th.

Potter will need time to build his side and flip a complete 180 on the Moyes/Lopetegui style. It likely won’t be a seamless transition, although a few of their players are already well matched for his system.

If their fans remain patient they will have one of the best managers they could realistically attract, I think he’ll do very well there with time.

Did they all hate him, I think I remember the whole stadium staying behind to sing his name and wish him well when he left at the end of the season, it obviously went a bit stale in the last season and he left at the right time but to say he didn’t do a great job overall would be ludicrous

Can see it going wrong with potter mind good manager but the West ham lot are a funny bunch.

They'll Probably be twisting on in a years time about needing to score more goals and needing to go route one. 😂

Surprised it's taken so long to get back in the mix. I've always really rated him and taking the Chelsea job was a big mistake

Was there not something in his contract when he got sacked that his Chelsea compensation stopped if he got another job before it was fully paid out?
