I hope Pardew will drop his push over act and let the referee have it in his post-match interview. Take the touch line ban but make sure we're not messed with like that again. The old Ferguson trick.

Pardew is no Ferguson, though. In no shape or form he isn't.

He's most likely already got one so might as well go full hog.

He lets referees get away with this kinda thing every time. He needs to speak up.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew on Cheick Tiote's disallowed goal: "We're in an entertainment business and the guy's hit a wonder goal that Joe Hart isn't going to save.

"I'm not thrilled with the referee's answer when I've asked for an explanation as I don't quite get how he can disallow a goal of that quality on the technical point he is using.

"Joe Hart is nowhere near it. It goes through a crowd of City players who are impairing his view.

"It's a massive call on a very technical point.

"Pellegrini said something to me on the touchline which I wasn't happy with, it was normal banter where I probably used words I shouldn't have in the heat of the moment and I apologise for that."

--

Not exactly gone for the jugular.  He's actually apologised.

Oh aye, it's Pardew's fault, we more than matched the best side in the country and got jobbed by the ref and it's the managers fault.

Fuck me !!!!

If you're onabout me, I'm not blaming Pardew for the defeat, I'm blaming him for not capitalising on Manchester City's impotence. They were there to be beaten but we kept Gouffran and Sissoko on the pitch together for 80 minutes and brought Anita off for the ridiculously out of form Cisse after about 60. We lost because of a fucking ridiculous refereeing decision, although it is pretty likely that, had Manchester City gone into the half level, they would have came out with their tails up and the 2nd half would have been a lot harder than it was.

First 15 minutes we were poor then we started getting in their faces and had the better of the game until around 70 minutes when we seemed to run out of steam.  Tbf like, the Tiote goal should have stood and Remy really should have scored once or twice.  I didn't like the subs at all and the last 20 minutes were a bit of a write-off as a result.

Pardew could not help that 1st goal after that we looked like the better team.

Glad we have a manager of his ability working for us

This is consistently hilarious by the way Slim. Keep it up.

Not a Joke anyone who was out last night will know my love for him.

When he joined I was gutted but has won me over.

The fact he can work under Ashley and still get results is very impressive.

He has the passion and yes might not be best manager in the world but who would you like to join that would come?

People moaned about Bobby Rbson then looked what happened.

If it was not for him Southamton would not have the great foundation they built with him siging players like  Rickie Lambert and got them first their trophy since 1976.

He was only sacked because he fell out with the chairmen.

Brought John Carver as assistant manager, who had worked as assistant to Sir Bobby Robson.

Led 4–4 with Arsenal one of the most remarkable comebacks in Premier League history.

Again siging great players like  Yohan Cabaye, Ba, Sissoko,Debuchy and Ben Arfa all amazingly cheap!!  Name me a manager that has signed so many players of that quality for that cheap.

Won the Premier League Manager of the Season award, becoming the first Newcastle United manager to achieve this and  also won the League Managers Association Manager of the Year award, which made him the first and only English manager to win the two individual awards in a single Premier League season.

On Match of the Day 2, Pardew stated that Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien "absolutely rapes" Man City player Ched Evans during a midfield tussle for the ball

This season shown his bottle to play 2 up front against Chelsea and won 2-0

1-0 Spurs

Man U away

Deserved at least a Draw today.

we can do better ,traditional crossing games just are more suited to the nolans bartons carrols games. we dont have the players to play that sort of games well.

Yep. Rushed and direct in the final third + static players, resulting in our players getting isolated very easily and running into traffic if we try to counterattack.

We played well on the whole today, but these players aren't coached into a style which will get the best out of them.

injury ended whatever momentum we had and City used the break to reorganize tbh

The next two games are very important, we could do with getting a break like we did against Norwich and Stoke.
